"We’ve just returned from Be Live Collection Adult Only in Marrakech, and I wanted to share our experience.
Overall, we had a lovely time away and have actually already booked a return holiday for next year. Although we experienced a few setbacks during our stay, the hotel team dealt with them very well and did their best to resolve everything.
Arrival & Rooms
We arrived at the resort in the evening and, once we were checked in, we were taken to our room. Just something to keep in mind — there is a 1000 MAD deposit required for the room.
Unfortunately, our first room wasn’t fully ready for us. The team immediately offered us another room, which was great. However, the second room was a disabled-access room facing directly towards the entertainment area.
After travelling, all we wanted to do was put our heads down and rest, but unfortunately it was impossible to sleep because of the noise. As the cleaning team had already left for the day, the hotel wasn’t able to offer us another room that evening, so we had to make do for the night. Thankfully, the entertainment finished around 11pm, and we were able to relax afterwards.
The following morning, we were offered another room further away from the entertainment area, and it was perfect! The rest of our stay was peaceful and very relaxing.
One thing we did find quite odd, however, was the lack of drinking water in the room. We were provided with just one bottle of water per day for two adults, despite temperatures reaching around 35°C. The water wasn’t automatically replenished, so we had to keep requesting more. In that kind of heat, we would have expected bottled water to be replenished regularly without having to ask, especially at an all-inclusive resort.
Staff
The staff were one of the highlights of the hotel. They were incredibly attentive, welcoming and friendly.
You can genuinely see that they work very hard to make sure guests are comfortable, happy and well looked after. Even when we had issues with our rooms, the team did their best to resolve them quickly, which we really appreciated.
Food & Drinks
The food was a little hit and miss.
The main buffet had a good variety, and we liked that there was something different available each day. There was always plenty of choice, which was great.
However, quite often the food was lukewarm or even cold, which was disappointing.
The snack bar food was fairly mediocre, but it did the job when we needed a functional snack between meals.
The biggest downside for us was definitely the drinks.
Although the cocktail menu has lots of options, the amount of alcohol in the cocktails was extremely minimal — and I mean minimal. We’re talking a couple of drops at best!
We often had to ask for “extra”, but even then, the amount was still very small. If you’re hoping for a few cocktails to celebrate your holiday and get a little tipsy, you might struggle! 😂
The only reliable way to have a proper drink was wine.
So overall, I’d give the food and drinks 3/5.
Entertainment
The entertainment was good and fairly chilled, which was exactly what we wanted from a relaxing holiday.
Nothing too over-the-top, and it suited the atmosphere of the resort well.
Another big positive — no sunbed wars! 😂
There were plenty of sunbeds available throughout our stay, so there was absolutely no need to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve one. Very refreshing!
Location
The hotel is around 25–30 minutes from Marrakech airport and is quite remote.
We didn’t venture out as there really wasn’t anything nearby, but the hotel does offer a shuttle service into Marrakech, which is useful if you want to explore the city.
For us, the remote location wasn’t really an issue as we were mainly looking for somewhere to relax and switch off.
Overall
Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it for a short break and a chance to escape the British weather! ☀️🇲🇦
There were a few issues during our arrival and some room changes, but the hotel team handled everything well and made sure we were eventually comfortable.
The staff were fantastic, the resort was relaxing, there were plenty of sunbeds, and the entertainment was just right for a chilled holiday.
The food and drinks could definitely be improved, particularly the temperature of the buffet food, the limited alcohol in the cocktails and the lack of regular bottled water in the rooms.
That said, none of these issues stopped us from enjoying our holiday — and clearly, we enjoyed it enough to have already booked to come back next year! ❤️
Overall rating: 4/5 ⭐️"
