Riad Shaden

"We booked this Riad with Hays Travel in the Bridges Sunderland. It had Excellent Reviews This was the main reason we booked it. We were met at the end of the road by Mohamed who helped us with our cases once inside the Riad we were shown to our room I had upgraded to the larger Blue room, I did this by what’s app message to the owner Shorna we also booked a meal on arrival. The meal was Excellent A Home cooked 3 course meal. Our room had a large double bed a large sofa bed which we used to sit on Our bed was comfortable the room was clean, there was a lady who cleaned each morning and did a good job. We also had a very large walk-in shower. We booked all our trips through the Riad and had a private driver called Said who is a pleasant Man and a safe driver. The Trips were well organised our memorable moment were the Hot Air Balloon and the meal up a Hill after the quad Bike ride, Saids Wife does the cooking at the Riad. And was in charge of the cookery class this is a must to do you get to eat the food that day, After a few days Mohamed had the pleasure of going to Scotland and Saids Brother looked after us at meal times. The whole Experience at Riad Shaden went well. I put this down to it being owned by a lovely Scottish lady who has an eye for detail and looks after her staff and guests well. I would definitely recommend this Riad. It is calm after a day out in the hustle and bustle of Madagascar. I would also like to point out that there is a roof terrace with comfortable sun loungers.and the rooms have smoke detectors in them"

"Exceptional stay – beautiful riad with outstanding staff We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Riad Shaden and would recommend it without hesitation. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome with tea and biscuits, along with excellent directions to help us navigate the Medina — we didn’t get lost once! The riad itself is a real hidden gem — beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style, with clean, comfortable rooms that include A/C and a safe. It truly feels like an oasis of calm after the hustle and bustle of the Medina. We loved the rooftop, with sun loungers and a covered seating area — perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sunshine. What really sets Riad Shaden apart is the staff. They genuinely cannot do enough for you, and someone is available 24 hours a day. A special mention to Said, Sanaa, Mohamed, Imed and Amal — every one of them went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. We would strongly recommend booking excursions through the riad. We booked camel riding in the Agafay Desert with a fabulous dinner, as well as a day tour to the Ourika Valley. Everything was very well organised, and Siad was fantastic — friendly, reliable, and full of interesting local knowledge. He really made our trips special. Our guide Abdul in the Atlas Mountains was also brilliant and very supportive (especially on the hike!), and Mohammed at the riad was incredibly helpful throughout — nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast each morning was fresh and plentiful and we also had a lovely chicken tangine meal (3 course dinner) at the Riad. The riad is around a 15–20 minute walk from the main square. Once you get your bearings (and get used to the mopeds!), we felt completely safe walking to and from the Riad Overall, this was a perfect stay. The combination of a beautiful, authentic riad and truly exceptional staff made our trip to Marrakech so memorable. "We had a wonderful stay at Riad Shaden and would highly recommend it. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was comfortable, clean, and a great place to relax after exploring Marrakech. We really appreciated that they accommodated our late check-out, which made our departure completely stress-free. The experiences they arranged were also excellent. Our trip to the Agafay Desert was unforgettable, and the cooking class was a real highlight—we learned so much and had a fantastic time.
