"Just back from a lovely week in Georgioupolis but i would stay somewhere else next time , We stayed in the Mare Blue & suites for one week I will just start with the staff they are all really friendly and will go out of there way to help and truly are an asset to this property apart from the older lady at reception who we found very abrupt and unhelpful , we stayed as a couple and checked in on the Friday we where brought around the back of the hotel up 4 flights of stairs to our apartment(740) which was ok the problem we had is it looks like this hotel has bought the old block of apartments at back of mare blue and suites and have refurbished the top 4 apartments with the view and the rest will be refurbished at a later date , our problem was we didnt find it very pleasant having to walk through the derlict area to get to our apartment , our apartment was just ok nothing special the balcony could do with a fresh coat of paint and it was infested with ants i will say that room service provided us with a spray to help with ants , the view was stunning from our balcony but apartments balconies both sides are just too close and if your neighbours are having a late drink good luck getting sleep , our shower flooded everytime we used it and there was no hook to hold shower head at height to have a shower just had to hold it by hand , we where give one keycard for room not sure why this is as we have always got 2 anywhere weve stayed , you have to pay to use room safe , pay to hire towels , pay to use sunbeds on the beach which is a bit unfair seeing as there is nowhere to lie by the tiny pool , the swimming pool is not functional as its tiny and wasnt cleaned once in the week we where there it was filthy, we went all inclusive the food was just ok and choice very limited , drinks choice was also very limited and not great standard , the seating area is nice by the pool to eat and drink but thats only if you get the weather which thankfully we did cant imagine what its like when raining , very dangerous steps down to buffet food area and a lady did have a bad fall one day when we there , asked to borrow iron couple of times none to be had , went on a day trip early one of the days and asked for takeaway lunch we got 2 slices of cake and 2 breadsticks ( the night porter was lovely and very friendly ) all in all we still had a lovely holiday but alot was down to using other hotels in the area facilities , i will finish by saying that if your staying in Georgioupolus its a lovely place and there is a huge choice of accomodation around but we just would not stay in mare blue and suites again , Mare is a chain of hotels in the area and we found out from other guests that we can get our takeaway drinks from other hotels if all inclusive but when we tried in another hotel we where told no and you cant use any of there other hotels facilites either very grey area and strange seems to be make it up as we go ."
