"⭐ My Honest Review of the Hotel & Bungalows
Location
In my opinion, the location is perfect. It doesn’t take long to walk down towards the beach, and there are plenty of restaurants, shops and places to explore around the area. There are also plenty of taxis available, and you can book one directly to the hotel, so getting around isn’t an issue.
If you’re looking to hire a car, rental prices can be quite cheap as well. I would definitely recommend booking before you arrive, as it seems to work out cheaper than booking once you’re there.

🌴 Atmosphere & Staff
The atmosphere at the hotel, and in the surrounding area, is pretty amazing. Most of the staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful, and the entertainment team in particular go above and beyond to get people involved and make sure everyone is having a good time.
I can’t say every member of staff was great, though. There was one guy with glasses who worked behind the bar who, in my experience, seemed to have an attitude towards English people. When dealing with Spanish guests he was very friendly, laughing and joking with them, but with English guests he came across as quite rude and arrogant.
Rather than let it ruin my holiday, I simply avoided him. Apart from that one experience, I had no problems with any of the other staff and found everyone else to be very friendly.

🛍️ On-Site Shop
The on-site shop is very, very expensive. In my opinion, the prices are high mainly because it’s convenient and located right on the hotel grounds.
If you’re able to, I strongly recommend walking into the town centre and using the Dino supermarkets, as they are considerably cheaper. You’ll save yourself quite a bit of money.
The staff in the shop were generally nice, but I would personally be very cautious around the woman who works the night shift. Unfortunately, I had an experience where I believe I was scammed out of €10.
Yes, it’s only €10, but it’s the principle of it.
I gave her my notes, and she dropped them onto the floor. She then stood on one of the notes and afterwards insisted that I had only given her a certain amount. When I tried to explain what had happened to the manager, he basically accused me of lying and said he didn't believe me.
What made the whole situation even more frustrating was that it was only €10. I was on holiday to enjoy myself — why would I make something like that up over €10?
The manager eventually offered to give me the €10 back, but I refused. I wasn't interested in getting the money back; I simply wanted him to be aware of what I believed his staff member had done.
So, just be careful and keep an eye on your money when using the shop, especially during the night shift.
Another thing worth mentioning: if you buy a pool float and use the machine outside to blow it up, apparently if you accidentally pop it, they will not refund you. Someone warned me about this while I was there. I didn't personally experience it, but it's worth knowing.
The goggles they sell are also very cheap quality and, in my opinion, aren't worth the money. I'd recommend buying them before you go or picking them up from the town centre.
Honestly, if you can avoid the on-site shop, do so — your wallet will thank you later!

🏊 Pool Area
The pool itself is very clean and the whole pool area is generally well maintained.
My only real complaint would be the sunbeds. They are quite dirty and could definitely do with being sprayed down with cleaning fluid and properly rinsed every now and then.
As with most holiday destinations, there is also the usual problem of people putting towels on sunbeds early in the morning and then disappearing for hours, leaving other people unable to find somewhere to sit. Unfortunately, that's more down to the guests than the hotel.
There is a lifeguard on duty every day from the early morning until around 6pm. After that, you are responsible for yourself, and this is clearly displayed on the signs around the pool.
The daily pool games run by the entertainment team are really good fun and they do a great job of trying to get everyone involved.

🪳 Cockroaches
Now, don't immediately be disgusted by this one!
If you're travelling to a hot country such as Spain and expecting to see absolutely no cockroaches, I'm not sure what to tell you. They are unfortunately part of living in a hot climate, and you will see the odd one around the hotel.
Most of the ones I saw were outside, particularly at night.
If you're staying in one of the bungalows, there are simple things you can do to reduce the chances of them coming inside. Don't leave crumbs or food lying around, keep opened food in sealed bags or containers, and preferably keep food stored off the floor.
We didn't have any major issues with them inside the bungalow.

🧹 General Maintenance
The paths and general maintenance around the whole complex are very good.
Obviously, with a large resort, the odd thing is going to get missed, but overall I think the staff do a great job of keeping everything maintained and tidy.
If you do notice something that's broken or needs attention, report it. From my experience, they generally try to get things sorted out as quickly as possible.

🐈 The Cats!
Yes... cats! 😂
There are quite a few stray cats around the hotel. The locals feed them and, from what I saw, they are generally very friendly and well looked after.
If you want to, you can buy some cat food and feed them yourself. Just be warned that if you start feeding them around your bungalow, they will probably remember where you are and keep coming back!
We didn't mind them coming back because, honestly, they helped keep some of the bugs away. 😂

📶 Wi-Fi
The Wi-Fi seems to be an issue for quite a few people.
Technically, the hotel is correct when they advertise free Wi-Fi, but the free access is mainly around the reception area.
If you want Wi-Fi around the bungalows, you have to pay to access the additional boosters positioned around the complex.
Even after paying, I found it quite difficult to connect at times. Personally, my mobile roaming data was much more reliable than the hotel's Wi-Fi, so I'd recommend making sure you have a decent roaming package before travelling.

🔑 Key Cards
One important tip: don't put your room key card next to your phone.
Apparently, keeping them together can cause the card to stop working, and you'll end up having to walk all the way back to reception to get it reset.
You receive two key cards. Personally, I recommend keeping one in the electricity slot inside the bungalow so that you can leave the air conditioning running while you're out.
That way, when you come back, the room is already nice and cool.

❄️ Air Conditioning
The air conditioning can be a little fiddly to get used to, but once you've figured it out, it's pretty easy.
In our double-bedroom bungalow, the main air conditioning unit was located in the main bedroom. Because of this, we had to leave the internal doors open so the cool air could circulate around the rest of the bungalow.
Keeping one of the key cards in the electricity slot also meant we could leave the air conditioning running while we were out.

🏡 The Bungalows
The bungalows are lovely little places, although they are very basic.
Our double-bedroom bungalow had a main bedroom, a smaller second bedroom and a living room.
The living room has a TV where you can log into your Netflix account and other services. If you're worried about leaving your account logged in, don't worry — the TV automatically logs you out.
There is also an additional bed underneath the living room sofa, meaning there are technically five sleeping spaces in the bungalow.
You get a kettle, although the cups provided are absolutely tiny — two sips and they're empty! 😂
There's also a fridge and microwave.
The bathroom has a shower, although the temperature can be a little temperamental. There are two sinks, a large mirror, toilet and toilet roll. Our bungalow also had a hairdryer, although I wouldn't guarantee that every bungalow will have one.
One important thing: DON'T DRINK THE TAP WATER.
I'd recommend buying a large bottle of water and keeping it in the fridge.
The main bedroom has a nice mirrored wardrobe with a safe inside. However, the safe costs extra to use and personally I wouldn't bother paying for it. I'd recommend simply buying a small lock for your suitcase and keeping your valuables inside your locked luggage.
We've done this on previous holidays without any problems.
The beds aren't the most comfortable in the world, so be prepared for them to be quite firm and potentially leave you feeling a little stiff in the morning.
The second bedroom is much the same, just smaller, with another mirrored wardrobe.
The cleaners do a very good job overall. You can use the sign provided to indicate whether you want your bungalow cleaned or don't want anyone entering, so you have the choice.
One thing to be aware of is that there isn't an iron provided. You'll either need to bring your own or rent one from the hotel, which will cost you extra.

🍽️ Food & Restaurant
For an all-inclusive hotel, I think the food and restaurant area are very good.
There's plenty of choice for both adults and children, with lots of different meals, fruit and desserts available.
If you have any allergies or specific dietary requirements, make sure you speak to the staff when you arrive and let them know before you start your holiday.
The restaurant itself is very clean, and there is a dress code. You need to wear appropriate clothing and shoes — socks or bare feet aren't allowed.
The restaurant staff are fantastic at keeping everything clean and tidy. They constantly walk around clearing empty plates and cups and cleaning tables.
If you've finished eating, simply move your plates to the side of the table and they'll usually come over and clear everything away.

🍹 Bars & Drinks
There are two main areas to be aware of.
The first is the sports bar, which opens at around 7pm and stays open until midnight.
The all-inclusive drinks are included until around 11pm, after which you'll have to pay for your drinks.
If you're looking to get a little tipsy, I'd recommend asking for doubles or triples because otherwise you'll probably be drinking all night without feeling much effect. 😂
I actually bought a bottle from the bar and then used the lemonade machine throughout the evening, adding my own alcohol. This was allowed, as long as you purchase the alcohol from the bar.
There is also the other side of the bar where the main entertainment takes place. This opens at around 8pm until midnight, with the same rule applying — after 11pm, drinks are no longer included in the all-inclusive package and you will be charged.

🎤 Entertainment
The entertainment in the main bar area changes throughout the week, so there's usually something different going on.
The entertainment team are particularly good at getting the children involved, but they also make an effort to include the adults.
If you want to know what's happening during your stay, check the entertainment board just before you enter the main bar. It shows what's happening on each specific day.
There are also arcade machines, a pool table and a few other things available, although personally I think the hotel could benefit from having a little more in this area.

⭐ Overall Opinion
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay.
There are obviously a few negatives, but every hotel is going to have things that could be improved. For me, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives.
The location is excellent, the atmosphere is great, most of the staff are fantastic, the entertainment team work incredibly hard, the food has plenty of choice and the bungalows are clean and practical.
Just remember a few key things:
💰 Avoid the on-site shop where possible — it's expensive.
📶 Don't rely entirely on the hotel Wi-Fi — have roaming data as a backup.
🔑 Keep your key card away from your phone.
💧 Don't drink the tap water.
🪳 Expect the occasional cockroach — you're in a hot country!
🛏️ Expect fairly firm beds.
☀️ Don't expect a spotless sunbed.
🛒 Visit the town-centre supermarkets for better prices.
Despite some of these issues, I would happily recommend the hotel and would consider coming back again."
