"What a gem! A lovely place to stay, very clean, quiet & calm, great location.
I write reviews like id like to have read so here goes.
Firstly, reception is open 0900-1500hrs so if you arrive outside of this (we did) then do not even attempt to carry your luggage up the steps to reception....you'll carry them back down again otherwise. We didnt get any communication from Jet2 (apparently we should have?) to tell us that we would need to ring a number to arrange entrance. It was easy enough, sign on the wall and then the lady whatsapped us instructions to our room - the next day I then checked in properly.
We were very thankful for the 2l bottle of water chilling in the fridge as it was 2230hrs when we got there, no shops open due to the time and we had no water left. Thank you so much for that gesture!
Apartments are lovely! We had a bali plus one. 2 bedrooms (no need for daughter to sleep on a sofa bed yay), bathroom for her and ensuite for us with walk in shower.
Air con in both bedrooms and it was very powerful. Every window has a curtain and also a black out blind behind it!
Safe included for no extra cost.
Kitchen has 2 ring hob, full size fridge and freezer. Microwave (presume just that and not a microwave grill, never used it so couldnt say), kettle, toaster and a coffee machine (no pods, never used it). Full accompliment of equipment too - pans, frying pan, grill tray (which made me question the microwave as there was no oven so I was curious why there'd be a metal tray), colander, bottle opener, (I didnt note if a tin opener so sorry about that), no scissors, I did note that, sharp knives, bread knife, cutlery, crockery, glassware, 1 egg cup (I fashioned another out of the egg box), even tea towels x2 (and these were changed daily), sponge and dish soap.
Outside we had a little nook with a sink, mop, bucket and broom, and a large washing line. Out the rear of the apartment we had a semi enclosed garden area with a patio with a canopy above, table and chairs and 2 x sun loungers. Access via living room and both bedrooms.
Best of all an allocated bali bed that was (for us, room 31) right outside our apartment! I think there are 6 or 7 bali beds in total - they have the room number above them so theres no question as to who theyre for.
As others have said, the pool area is so so quiet! Barely anyone around. We were there for 10days (the latter part being the school holidays for the UK) and it was still quiet. Maybe saw 6 people a day tops there.
Pool isn't heated, seems quite standard for Lanzarote we've found but it wasnt cold. There's also a jacuzzi too which is lovely. Not heated either but it never felt brassic getting into it and once you'd been in there it was a doddle getting into the pool.
Showers are dotted around the pool as well. Every room either has an allocated bali bed or is guaranteed to have 2 sun loungers (though these are not allocated, so you can pick whatever ones you want). The pool gets the sun ALL day long :-)
Bali beds are lovely, a real treat!
Cleaning is 5 days a week. Not on Sunday and not on either Weds or Thurs, for us it was not on the Thurs. Towels changed when we asked them to be. Bedding wasnt changed for us, we were there 10 days so it was ok but any longer and then id have wanted them changed. Lovely cleaning team who would ask before they went in if we wanted cleaning done. Floors swept and mopped.
TV is large flatscreen and has all 5 main English channels on there. WiFi is best around the pool area - I could get it occasionally in our apartment but not often.
The apartment doors are a key code entry. You also get a smart key which will unlock a gate outside your front door if you choose to close it and also it will unlock various gates around the perimeter which mean you dont have to walk to the reception to get in/out of the complex.
Hiperdino is across the road, maybe 3mins walk. There's a Superdino possibly 10mins away and yes they are cheaper but the convenience of the Hiperdino was perfect for us. Sells a good variety of foods. There are also a couple of sports bars, restaurants, cafes, shops, a gym, and a pizza shop all in this little "square" type area. Really handy!
Bus stop is outside and a doddle. No.30 bus does pretty much a loop of Playa Blanca and this bus stop (Los Colorados) is the end of the line. The bus goes every 30mins and it usually gets to the stop a few mins early so will stop until its due to leave. €1.40 for a single per person each way. Lots of bus stops in playa blanca too so it will mean you wont need to get a taxi unless its after the midnight hour lol.
We did visit the beach at Los Colorados a few times and actually for us ut was perfect. It is sandy but there are some rocks and stones underfoot in sections (theres a main section with barely any rocks though) but we chose to go there because of the fishes. We brought snorkels with us and because of the rocks further out it meant the fishes were there in their dozens. So beautiful. It's about a 10min walk from the hotel and very easy and flat.
I think thats everything, if I think of anything more ill amend and add it in.
This is a really lovely place, great location and just so peaceful and quiet! To have absolutely NO sunbed wars was the icing on the cake. I cant abide the people who hog a bed all day long but dont even use it.
In summary, I would absolutely stay here again and id recommend it too. Its a great bridge between an air bnb type apartment and a hotel.
There was also lots of parking on all of the roads around so if you were to hire a car that wouldn't be any issue at all either.
Enjoy your holiday 😃"
