Ficus Apartments

"Just got back from the Ficus, what a wonderful hotel. We have stayed here 4 times so obviously we love it, but it just gets better and better. We requested a ground floor room as 'er indoors has knee problems and this was granted, so a nice start. Food as good as ever, very spacious rooms, pool area immaculate, drinks pretty good. Without doubt the star of the hotel is Klevin, one of the entertainment guys and his catchphrases, ' Wow, okey dokey, no pressure and shakey Shakey' will really miss him. Not everyone enjoys the entertainment but personally I enjoyed doing the quizzes and the Karaoke. There is now a Jacuzzi available for everyone and a premium bar, so the place just gets better. We'll be back!"

"The location of this hotel is excellent. Within 3 minute walk to the nearest shop (a spar, with everything you need) gift shop and tobacco shop. A further 10 minutes down the road is the beautiful beachfront and more shops bars, restaurants. This hotel is the perfect blend for pretty much everyone. We stayed in the premium suits, which are located in a separate block on the left side of the resort. These rooms are perfect if you want a more relaxed, quieter style of holiday., ours has a beautiful large bathroom , lounge area with a kitchenette should u wish to have a cuppa. There is a fridge in the room & safe for your use. The beds were very comfortable. The pool area is beautiful, with a private bar open 10-6 (the other bars along site open after this) , chill out zones and plenty of sunbeds. If your after entertainment and daytime activities suneo ficus has all of this too. Everything from boules, aqua aerobics, mini golf, pool tables. All available. There is nightly entertainment ranging from music quizes, bingo, music acts and djs. So if u like a busy activity packed getaway you would be perfectly fine on the usual side in normal apartments. The site as a whole, everywhere i saw was very clean, tidy, modern, the gardens are beautiful, with many places to relax, sunbathe or read a book. There is even little bookcases with games and books so read during your stay, we noticed these in the tui rep area, in the suites chillout lounge and in the reception. Plenty of toilets are dotted around the site all of which are clean accessible facilities. The staff are all very attentive and on the ball and polite. Food wise, the choice is always plentyful! From fresh fruits to pastrys and cereals lunch again was fresh salads with varying themes food wise throughout the week, from chinese, mexican, bbq , traditional sunday roast, italian. But every-night there will always be something for everyone. The food hall has self serve drinks and snacks you get between and during meals. The snack bar on the suite side served onion rings, chips, hot dogs burgers, sandwiches and toasties. All very nice The choice of drinks is also quite good from vodka , rums, gins, as well as a range of soft drinks such as cola, Fanta, lemonade etc. there is a more premium bar in the reception which opens a few hours a night for cocktails but these are chargeable. As with any holiday , it is what you make it, but for us, the value of suneo ficus was brilliant. The overall location, food, room quality and entertainment and facilities provided easily rivalled some 4 stars. We cannot fault suneo ficus, and would happily recommend to all. Just bare in mind if your prefer a more relaxed, quieter holiday but still with the ability should u wish to go and join daytime activites or evening enetertainment, book the suites. Its worth the little extra just for that more laid back option. The excursions offered and booksblemwith the tui rep are also quite varied from : volcanoe walks, vineyard tours, private catamaran trips to submarine dives. All reasonably priced and excellent options. And for those with accessibility issues there are ramps situated around the site, plenty of ground floor rooms, and theres even mobility scooter hire available so you can still explore independently for €70 a week. I suppose my overall advice is…. Get it booked! We are returning in april :)"

"Just returned from a very nice, chilled break at this lovely hotel. The Ficus is a really nice place with a good sized apartment with separate bedroom. There is a great pool area and gardens which are really well kept. There's a small jacuzzi hidden away in the garden area to the left of the main entrance. Loads of outdoor seating both during the day and night, and there were always enough sunbeds around although some are stacked up so you may need to lift them off. Nice entertainment room for evening drinks, where a few nights there are acts (singers), and other nights entertainment is by the animation team who are good, especially since Kevin arrived half way through our stay. All inclusive food is quite good and drinks are always available either from the restaurant or pool bar. The lovely staff work tirelessly, always with a smile for guests both day and night. The hotel is situated about 10 minutes walk from the front promenade and bars, and then another 10 minutes to the resort centre and it's mostly flat so an easy walk. All in all, a great value 10 day break in a nice hotel and we definitely plan to return. Highly recommended !!"
