"Had an excellent time at this hotel. Our room was lovely, we had a ground floor room with a very generous terrace. The staff were brilliant and could not do enough to help. There is not loads to do in Santa Susanna, so if you are into exploring the area, you might need to get the train to explore a little further out. However, we were after a relaxing beach holiday so it was perfect for us. I was worried that there would be the daily scrum for the sun beds. Of course, there was the annoying people who put out their towels and then spent most of the day doing something else. But, we managed to get a sunbed every day, and we never went down until about 10.30 am. And this was in August, when the hotel was full. Again, the pool is perhaps a little smaller than a lot of hotels, but it was never full and the Jacuzzi section was just heavenly to sit in. There were 20 rooms on our floor, and I think 6 floors, so it is a smaller hotel, which is probably why it never felt cramped or full. The food was a particular highlight. My husband is particularly adventurous with his food, whilst I'm a fussy vegetarian but we both found that there was plenty to choose from every night and the food was cooked to a high standard. I personally thought the costs of food in the hotel bar / cafe was reasonable - at 5 euros for some chips, 13 euros for a pizza and around 8 - 10 euros for a cocktail. The hotel itself was impeccably clean. The location of the hotel is perfect, as it is right on the beach. I was worried that there is a train line immediately behind the hotel, that this would be noisy and disturb us, but despite having the closest room to the train line, you could not hear it all from inside the room, and it was only a faint occasional rumble if you were outside sunbathing, and most of the time you couldn't hear it over the general noise of the beach, music etc. On the last day, we booked into the spa. It has a jacuzzi pool (with areas to sit and lie), two experience showers, a steam room and a sauna. Booking is free and you get 45 mins in there. For us, it was a lovely way to end the holiday. I would readily go back and stay there again. I believe the 4 star superior rating to be a good reflection of the hotel."

"Fantastic Solo Stay at Mar Mediterrania. Safe, Relaxing, and Great Location! I recently returned from a 5-night half-board stay at the Mar Mediterrania in Santa Susanna as a solo female traveller, and it was exactly the relaxing break I needed. From start to finish, I felt safe, welcomed, and well looked after. Arrival & Room (Room 409) I arrived a little before check-in time and waited in the lobby, which is very comfortable, tastefully decorated, well air-conditioned, and offers plenty of seating. I was allocated Room 409,a lovely double room with a balcony offering a fabulous beach and sea view. The room had everything I needed, including a fantastic shower with all body care products supplied. Housekeeping did a brilliant job, cleaning daily and replacing towels. The balcony also overlooked the new building next door(which is still a building site), but noise from it was never an issue. The room was generally very quiet, though on my final night, noise from the adjoining room was more noticeable (possibly due to a new guest arrival?). Minor Room Note: There are tea and coffee sachets with a kettle provided, though sachets aren't replenished during the stay. Plugging in the kettle was a bit of a scramble due to socket placement and a short cable, but manageable! Pool & Facilities The pool area is exceptionally well maintained,kept spotless throughout the day, with staff emptying bins regularly and cleaning thoroughly morning and evening. The pool itself is clean, and the popular jacuzzi is wonderfully refreshing once you adjust to the cold temperature on hot days. There are plenty of sun loungers, beds, and umbrellas. The loungers/beds come in two styles; I personally preferred the ones along the side of the hotel as the recline/height was easily adjustable. The team hosted fun poolside activities like aqua-gym, which was lively and well-received. Dining & Food As someone with a tomato allergy, I was initially a little apprehensive about dining, but the variation in the evening buffet meant I always found plenty to enjoy. The show cooking stations were great, the cheese and meat selections were wonderful, and the nightly desserts were absolutely fabulous. The only minor downsides were that some cooked items were occasionally warm rather than hot, and it felt a bit unusual having to pay for water at dinner. Breakfast, however, was exceptional, I am genuinely going to miss it! There was an incredible spread of cooked items, continental options, fresh fruit, juices, hot drinks/coffee, and a delicious pastry section with endless variety. Location & Kalima Beach Club The hotel’s position is ideal,right on the beach and just off the main strip, making it peaceful while still convenient. It’s a short, easy walk to the boulevard and local shops. At night, you can hear entertainment from neighboring hotels in the distance, but it didn't disrupt the stay. I also visited the hotel’s affiliated Kalima Beach Club for lunch and a cocktail. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful,highly recommended! Overall Impression The entire team at Mar Mediterrania was kind, polite, and attentive throughout my stay. As a solo female traveler, feeling secure and comfortable is a top priority, and this hotel delivered on every front. It was the perfect spot to unwind and recharge, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beachside getaway."

"Beautiful hotel, very clean. Excellent location practically on the beach. Staff could not have been anymore friendly or helpful. Beautiful pool outside and jacuzzi indoor. Perfect for a quiet break away to catch up with friends or a solo trip to recharge the battery. Prices for food and drinks very reasonable and walking distance of main strip area."
