"Let me just set the record straight…
Some of the reviews in here are completely unfair. As a family of four, with two relatively young children, I started to panic a little when reading some of the reviews before arriving.
Absolutely no need at all. This place is amazing.
The pools – there are three in total. The kids’ pool has three great slides to keep them entertained, and you can set up camp at one pool and easily move between all three. There are plenty of activities happening at the 2 main pools to help aid any boredom that may creep in.
Yes, you have to queue for sunbeds each morning, but honestly, it stops the usual suspects getting out of bed at 4am, putting ten towels down, and then not returning until midday!
David, the long-haired lifeguard with what seems like 1,000 wristbands, is amazing. He runs a tight ship and isn’t afraid to remove poorly behaved children who are causing danger around the pools. Exactly what you want from a lifeguard.
The bar – it doesn’t open until 10am, and at times the queues can look long. However, they move very quickly. The bar staff are amazing and so efficient.
The drinks card system is a good way to make sure people don’t stockpile drinks, while also ensuring glasses and cups are returned. It might seem questionable at first, but it works and helps the bar staff with collecting and cleaning glasses.
You can also get free ice creams here, with a few different flavours available.
TOP TIP: If you’re only returning glasses to collect your drinks cards, go inside and use the left-hand side so you don’t get stuck in the main queue.
The rooms – ours was spacious enough for a family of four. It was cleaned daily, with fresh towels provided, and I genuinely have no complaints. The beds were comfortable too.
The air conditioning isn’t absolutely freezing, but if you leave it running, the room soon gets nice and cool.
The food – this seemed to be the biggest dividing point in the reviews. But the fact is, this is a family hotel, so naturally there will be plenty of food suitable for children. Makes sense!
There was a good selection each day, everything was always cooked well, and I felt there was a decent variety.
Reception – amazing and always helpful. Couldn’t fault them.
Location - amazing. 2 minutes walk to a great selection of Nic Nac shops, restaurants, ice cream parlours etc. Every Friday there is a market on the coast well worth a visit. The beach is 2 minutes away as is the train station that runs you straight into Barcelona.
Overall, the holiday was fantastic. The only reason I probably wouldn’t return is simply because I like to explore new places.
The hotel was great, the staff were amazing – with a special mention to David – the food was good quality, and we always felt welcome.
You will have a good time here.
It’s a shame that some of the poor reviews are clearly written by people expecting champagne living on a beer budget. It’s not perfect, but what is?
It’s still amazing, and we all had such a great time. ☀️🍹🌴"
