"This is not a 4 star hotel at all...maybe 3 at push. We've stayed here 3 times in the past and this will definitely be our last visit. Its certainly gone downhill from previous visits and we're glad to be back home. There's been no positives to this hotel for us this time around.
ROOM:
The room was basic, beds and pillows uncomfortable, both myself and husband have woken up each day with either a bad back or neck. We couldn't even sit up on the beds without the whole beds sliding forwards and the pillows dropping behind the bed inbetween the gap that got created between the bed and the wall. We were on the 12th floor and the door onto the patio did not shut or lock properly - wouldnt trust it with kids thats for sure! The internet in the room was non existant - forget trying to watch netflix or anything like that! The shower was awful, one minute it was freezing cold, then luke warm, then scalding hot so much so you couldnt even put your hands under it let alone stand under it. We opened the bathroom window to let the mist out a bit only for the window to literally just fall off the hinges. We complained to reception to be told we were the only ones who had complained, but upon talking to numerous other guests they had been having exactly the same issues.
POOL:
The sunbeds were awful, the backs dont rise on them so you're forced to lie down with your head slightly elevated. Forget trying to lay on your stomach comfortably as it strains your back being bent in an awkward position. Pool was mostly closed off and we never saw the pool area be cleaned once during our stay. Pool snack bar was not open either and there was no background music or anything - just completely lacking any atmosphere whatsoever. My husband said there was no locks on the mens pool toilet doors - however there was on the womens toilets
FOOD:
Unless you like salad and chips or cold stew or paella twice a day every single day of your holiday then you are going to struggle. Most of the time the food was always cold, either over cooked or under cooked and absolutely bland and tasteless. Its the worst food we've ever had in any hotel we've ever stayed in. Breakfast was about the best meal of the day but again mostly cold, and the scrambled eggs, beans and tomatoes etc all completly watered down and like tasteless slop.
LIFTS:
You'll spend half your holiday waiting for lifts and they are tempremental. Constantly breaking down and made a hurrendous loud screeching noise like running fingers nails over a blackboard everytine they opened/closed - which was basically at every floor.
BAR/ENTERTAINMENT:
We can't comment on the evening entertainment as you couldnt get in there at night - the entertainment bar/venue is certainly not big enough for the size of the hotel. In the day I ordered a strawberry slush puppy drink and asked for a shot of rum in it...€8.50. Which I thought was expensive for what it was.
Compared to when we first came to this hotel a few years ago, the place has gone right downhill - this holiday certainly hasn't been the holiday experience that we were expecting or what we had been looking forward to and we wont be wasting our money here ever again. My advice is book elsewhere if you can because the hotel certainly isn't what it used to be."
