Punta Monpas

"I would advise anyone to be extremely wary of this hotel. I booked a stay for 8-10 June. They told that a beer festival was taking place outside the hotel for those dates and it was likely there would be noise outside the room every night until 1 am. I decided to cancel my booking. I emailed them to say I was cancelling my booking. They said that I needed to go through expedia to cancel it. I did that. When I arrived home I found Hotel Punta Monpas had charged me anyway. I emailed to ask for my money back as I cancelled the booking. They refused to refund me and said that I didn't specify that I was cancelling the 2 nights. Of course, I was cancelling the 2 nights; I cancelled my reservation with the hotel! The noise was for the duration of the stay and I told them I was cancelling because there would be noise. I found them extremely rude and I basically consider that they stole from me."

"The beds were very comfortable, the shower room was clean with good shower, shampoo/ shower gel dispenser & nice towels. Chocolates in the room were a treat & the receptionist was helpful & informative. The location was opposite Zurriola beach & a short walk from the old town & La Concha beach, handy for bars, restaurants, exploring, sightseeing & beaches. With a beautiful mountain backdrop."

"Good location, friendly staff. Unfortunately terribly noisy. You hear the smallest noises, turning over in bed, walking in the rooms, following verbatim conversations of the other guests in the other rooms. Before 8 o'clock the clink of cutlery and crockery and sliding of chairs, etc."
