Tsokkos Gardens Hotel

"Just back after 7 days here …absolutely fantastic place . We stayed in the apartments which where so spacious,clean and well maintained ,a few marks on walls and chipped paint work …but hey it’s the end of the season and many a family have stayed there so it’s just general wear and tare and no dowt after a lick of paint for the beginning of the season they will be gone . All the Staff was outstanding ,friendly and helpful ..even when I lost my safe key 😬 . Location is ideal just a stroll to the shops , beaches and bus stop ,the buses run every 10 minutes , plus the splash park in the sister hotel was only a stones throw away and I could see my family at the top of the slides from our apartment. Food was lovely , lots of choice but just outside is some fantastic restaurants and taverna’s ,also for the Brits on tour all your usual fast food restaurants can be found on the main strip , even found an M&S too . So for the last week of the season ..October school break too this hotel was quiet ,so relaxing and just the place to recharge your batteries soaking up the sun ready for the winter . We shall be back again ."

"We stayed for a week in October. We did have a lovely holiday, it was still 28 deg every day. Location - lovely walks to the beaches which are bays with clear calm and warm sea not too busy, shops , restaurants nearby. Rooms - basic, clean and comfortable however when we first arrived we were put in a room next to the lift and the lift made a loud bing bong noise when the doors opened - surly this can be switched off, it woke us up a few times on the first night. Room also had adjoining doors which should be for families to share and in the morning we could hear everything the people in the room next to us were saying! And we also found that the doors to the next room were not even locked! It’s really unfair to place people That are not together! in two rooms with a door inbetween! We did complain and the hotel staff were very helpful and moved us the second night but it shouldn’t have happened! The second room had a pool view and was much better. Pools - main pool is nice and clean and there is a second one which is quieter but always able to get sunbeds and lots of space Access to the water park across the road which was great for kids. Lifeguards always there. Smoking around the pools I think is not acceptable, especially near kids There should be a designated smoking area away from the pool and other guests. Restaurant. - good choice of food, clean, Also snack bar in the day by the pool. Staff - . Reception and restaurant staff friendly and helpful. Bar staff not always friendly, looked like they didn’t want to be there! Most of the staff work really hard there so it’s a bit of a let down when the bar staff don’t make guests feel welcome! Entertainment - disco and then different acts each night or you can go across the road or into main town if you want to stay out later lots of other bars with entertainment. Overall I would say the hotel is good value but I wouldn’t stay there again unless they put in a designated smoking area, stopped the lift noise and ensured the adjoining family rooms were not given to people that don’t know each other to stay in. Also staff need to make quests feel welcome in the bar area."
