"I stayed at Toxotis hotel with me and my partner mid-summer in August.
Location - Good location, within walking distance of local bars, restaurants, shops, pharmacies. Bus stop immediately outside of hotel if wanting to head in Larnaca or Ayia Napa.
Rooms - Rooms were quite modern and had british plug sockets which was useful. Had a slight problem with the first room we were staying in as the shower leaked into the bedroom, as well as the toilet seat being off it's hinges on arrival. We did tell staff immediately however at first they were quite hestitant to move our room on the day despite being unable to use our bathroom. However, come the following day as we persisted we were moved. They ensured we viewed this room before, to ensure we were happy with this room change. Our second room was also modern, and we had no problems here.
Cleanliness - Rooms were cleaned daily. No duvet on the beds and is simply only a sheet however I think this is quite normal for the hot climate here however I feel some more blankets/sheets should be available. Must bring your own sunbed towels. Toilets by the pool bar was as appropriately clean, toilets under the building were extremely outdated and never very clean.
Food and Drink - We went all inclusive, and the food selection was always pleasing. Breakfast consisted of pasteries, fresh fruit, yogurt, normal English style foods as well as classic Cypricot breakfast foods. Lunch, was a good variety of foods nothing too special at the buffet and very similar to dinner. You can also have lunch at the pool bar/ snack bar which you order to your table and we found this food to be good, including toasties, burgers, chips, spaghetti bolognase, ice creams, etc. Dinner at the buffet restaurant was always good, every night was a different cuisine/theme and went full out with this. Many different options, salad bar always full and kids options were avaliable however very repetitive for them. Drinks were amazing for an all inclusive, extensive cocktail list and good local lagers and wines, iced coffees were also made at the bar in the morning! Drinks were on order at the buffet restaurant, which was a nice restaurant effect however depending on how busy this was could also be a negative on the wait time.
Atmosphere - Many kids at this time as summer holidays, defintely a family atmosphere which we didn't mind. Entertainment team during the day was good and enthusiastic, hosting pool Zumba every day and lots of mini games for children and adults! Such as water polo, and one day when the pool shut early due to an incident they made a game of beer pong which all the adults joined in with. However, entertainment in the evening was poor as each night only had a solo singer, we did not usually stay for this and ended up going out after dinner and a couple of drinks. Not good entertainment for kids.
Pool and Sunbeds - Pool was good, very busy as a family hotel. Allows floaties and ball games. Sunbeds were a pain to get, definitely in need of some new sunbeds and some more! There are a few with shade over the top and soft cushions however these are all gone within the early hours, as well as the only functioning sunbeds. Most days we were left with broken sunbeds, or had to wait until somebody left later in the day.
Staff - We found staff to be very polite, and to be very helpful. The bar staff, entertainment team and restaurant staff. Demetrius, the restaurant manager was very organised, polite and friendly, remembered our drinks after just a few days and interacted with everyone so well.
Overall, Toxotis was extremely good value for the money. Would stay again if we came back to this part of Cyprus. Would recommend this hotel if looking for a good value getaway during the summer months, however if you have kids be aware of the food options and lack of entertainment in the evenings."
