"We visited the Bell Azur at the end of February 2026. We’re a group of three slightly older ladies in three separate rooms.
This was an incredibly cheap holiday and what we got for the price was truly amazing BUT this is not really a typical 4star bells&whistles experience and it’s probably best to go into the holiday being aware of that.
We were lucky with the weather at around 22° and full sun every day. The hotel had a definite ’out of season’ feel. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful throughout and we felt safe and looked after.
We stayed in 240/241/245 and (due to a room change) 105.
What we got:
Large rooms: plenty of wardrobe, space and comfortable beds (three single beds per room). Tired looking, but functional, bathroom with shower over bath. Big openable patio doors with nice sea view and blackout curtains. Cheapest looking toiletries I’ve ever seen (see photos). Thinnest towels. Very thin walls indeed (someone coughing next door or using their bathroom will sound like they are in your room) Fridge. Safe. Kettle & tea bags/coffee sachets. Big mirrors. Stool & large desk. TV with some English channels and accessible ports for a ‘fire stick’.
Good free (and password free) WiFi throughout hotel ✅
Food: all meals served in the same restaurant. It really is repetitive but we found something delicious to eat every meal time. It’s probably the most paired down all inclusive I’ve experienced with only one ‘freshly cooked for you‘ station which generally was grilling fish/meat. Same cake based desserts every day for lunch/dinner. No ice cream. Tea/coffee/ juice stations only available at breakfast.
Bar: There were three bars open during our visit, one by the reception and one by bottom pool with an OK stocked bar and tiny cocktail list. Strong g&t ! Beer on tap. Tandimly served in plastic/ paper cup/ glass depending on fate. And one very small bar on beach with limited options and opening hours.
Pools: indoor heated pool is larger and more attractive than most with plenty of beds around the edge and a gorgeous sea view! Very thin towels are sometimes available here or bring one from your room. The jacuzzi was empty during our stay. The outdoor pools (x2) are large, clean, deep- and very cold this time of year as they are unheated, that said, some of us brave souls did a few lengths between sunbathing !
Beach: There is a lovely sheltered beach with soft sand and shallow water for swimming. The sea is very cold this time of year but a brave soul may take a refreshing dip in the crystal clear water, plenty of loungers this time of year and some shade from thatched pagodas.
Venturing out: We got a taxi from in front of the hotel to the souk in Nebeul (about 20 mins) is cost 20 Dinar (about £4) they drop you by a big roundabout and you just return there to find another taxi when you’ve finished browsing. Nice to see people / colours/ chaos and then return to the calm of the hotel. It’s pretty quiet in the souk this time of year, so nicer to visit than normal.
What we DIDN’T get:
Rooms: any outside space - The rooms on the first floor only have what they call ‘a small balcony’ it’s basically a window ledge with a rail, you cannot fit a chair or stool and, in my room, the rail wasn’t fixed to the wall so it would have been very dangerous to try and get out there. I asked to move rooms and got a ground floor one (105) with a terrace so I could sit out(The staff were really helpful with this)
No Nice toiletries, plush towels, tissues, robes, scatter cushions, or anything similar. No chair to sit on ( just a stool). No glass in the bathroom. No air con this time of year.
Food: no choice of restaurant, no ice cream, chips are rare, no themed food events ( Asian/italian etc.) so meal times can feel very repetitive. As stated above, we did find nice things from the offering every day but don’t expect it to be the highlight of your holiday.
Bar: No pretty cocktails served in fancy glasses with umbrellas on a little square napkin with a straw and a slice of fruit. Drinks are basic. Similar to restaurant, limited options, same each day, but should be something for everyone.
Pools: No fluffy towels/robes. No clear water in the indoor pool (not sure why but it was always slightly cloudy?)
Also, watch out for misleading photos in holiday listings. There’s a Thalasso next door which you need to pay for (about £20 for a couple of hours using the pools plus extra for anything else) It has a heated outdoor pool looking out to the sea and they like to include photos of this.
I think that’s it, hopefully you’ll find this helpful. Basically we had a wonderful time in February escaping the British weather and paid less than a travel lodge in Slough! Staff were helpful, if you’d like a kettle, room change etc, just ask. Highly recommend as a budget escape x
P.s. Gatwick may have removed the need for your liquids to be under 100ml but Enfidha airport has NOT so any potions over 100ml, any drinks and any ‘hazardous’ sprays such as hairspray/ deodorant were being confiscated on departure!"
