"**First of all, we had a great holiday in Puerto Pollensa.** If you're looking for a peaceful, modern, and beautiful place to visit, I'd definitely recommend the area.
Moving on to the hotel, the room was quite basic. It had three single beds, with one placed next to the bathroom and the other two pushed together in the centre of the room. Because of the limited space, the wardrobe was also in the middle of the room, making it feel quite cramped. Considering we paid around **£2,150**, we felt the room was smaller than expected.
The TV wasn't a smart TV, so we couldn't watch much in the evenings, which is something we usually enjoy on holiday. The only channel we really watched was the Club World Cup, which was fine while it was on.
The bathroom was definitely the highlight of the room. It had a large, clean walk-in shower with great water pressure, a spacious vanity with a marble countertop, and everything felt modern and well maintained.
We were given a ground-floor garden room with a shared terrace, meaning we had to share the outdoor space with another family. This made it difficult to fully relax, as we were constantly walking past each other and felt obliged to exchange awkward greetings whenever someone came or went. The position of our room also meant people around the pool could easily see inside while we were getting changed, so it never felt very private. We even accidentally saw our neighbours in the same situation, which showed it wasn't just our room.
The beds were on the firmer side, but they were comfortable enough and we slept well most nights.
One of the hotel's biggest positives was its peaceful atmosphere, which was exactly what we were looking for. We also appreciated being able to use the facilities at the sister hotel, including the Olympic-sized swimming pool, restaurant, spa, table tennis, and evening entertainment.
The pool at our apartment complex was lovely, slightly heated, very clean, and never felt overcrowded.
The housekeeping staff generally did a good job. However, on the second day they used an extremely strong cleaning product, which gave my mum a headache and left the floor soaking wet. After we mentioned it to reception, they didn't use it again, which we appreciated.
The reception staff were friendly enough, while the restaurant staff were especially welcoming during the one meal we had there.
The location was excellent. There was a bus stop around five minutes away with cheap buses that made it easy to explore the island. A supermarket selling fresh pastries, baguettes, and other essentials was only a three-minute walk away, and the beach was just as close. The beachfront had beautiful views, clear water, and a fantastic selection of restaurants, clothes shops, pottery shops, and homemade dessert shops.
One thing I wouldn't recommend is relying on taxis. We found them quite unreliable and once waited around 35 minutes for one. Instead, I'd recommend using the Pollença bus app or checking the local bus timetable on Google, as the buses were cheap, frequent, and much more reliable.
During our stay we visited Cala Sant Vicenç, which had beautiful scenery and crystal-clear water, although it was very busy. The highlight of the trip, however, was Cap de Formentor. The views over the mountains and the sea were absolutely stunning, and we even saw wild goats nearby. You can reach it by bus for around €2 per person from the nearby bus stop, although some services require changing buses in the centre of Puerto Pollensa.
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday. While we felt the room itself didn't quite justify the price because of its size and lack of privacy, the peaceful atmosphere, excellent location, and the beauty of Mallorca more than made up for it. We wouldn't personally stay here again, as there are similar hotels closer to the beachfront available for a similar price or even less, but we would absolutely return to Puerto Pollensa itself."
