"We recently stayed at this hotel in Spain and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. We would highly recommend it and would happily return.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Maria, the manager at reception. She was incredibly friendly, accommodating and welcoming, with the biggest smile. The reception team were also always helpful whenever we needed anything.
The hotel is in an excellent location. It's within walking distance of a beautiful little cove beach with umbrells and loungers and you also have access from the hotel down onto the rocks where you can jump into the sea. This isn't part of the hotel itself, but it's a fantastic option for anyone who enjoys swimming in the sea. The colour of the water here is incredible.
The Ting Ting bus also stops directly outside the hotel. For around €3 per person, you can travel around Cala d'Or which was great as we struggled to access a taxi. There is also a little town about 10min walk away, with shops, restaurants and bars.
The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning and were spotlessly clean throughout our stay. We booked a full frontal sea view suite, and it was an absolutely amazing. The room and views were breathtaking, overlooking the adults-only pool through a palm tree, and out across the sea. Sitting on our balcony, listening to the waves and taking in the view, was simply incredible and I would encourage anyone to request a sea view room.
The adults-only pool was one of our favourite parts of the hotel. It was beautifully peaceful, with no music or entertainment, and completely separate from the busier main pool area (despite only being a stone throw from it) All you could hear was the sound of the waves, making it the perfect place to relax for our weekend break. The pool is also very accessible for anyone with mobility issues, with very shallow, gradual steps into the water, making getting in and out much easier.
We also watched both the circus performance and the Motown show during our stay, and both were absolutely fantastic. The performances were brilliant, especially considering the humidity and how hot it was.
The restaurant was always spotless, with beautiful sea views, and the food on the all-inclusive package was excellent. Although the restaurant is smaller than some all-inclusive resorts we've visited, the quality was great and there was always plenty of food available. One evening, we were even lucky enough to see dolphins while having dinner, which was a truly memorable experience. There was never a dinner rush or feeling it as over crowded.
The only areas we feel could potentially be improved are the drinks service and the token system. The hotel operates a token system for glasses, meaning you need a token to get your glass and return it when you want another drink. We completely understand that this helps keep the hotel so incredibly clean, there was never any cups and plates left lying around, but it could sometimes be a little inconvenient, particularly when you're at the adults-only pool or were passing but needed to go and get your cup for a drink. There is no bar at the adults only pool so always needed to walk to the main pool (only a very short walk)
There were also times when there could have been more bar staff, as queues did build up occasionally. With the temperatures being so high, it could sometimes take a little while to get a drink. However, there was always access to water, self-service fizzy drinks, water and coffee, provided you had your cup, which was very useful.
These are very minor points and certainly wouldn't stop us from returning.
Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. The stunning location, beautiful grounds, breathtaking full sea view suite, peaceful adults-only pool, excellent food, great entertainment and exceptionally clean surroundings all made for a wonderful holiday. The staff, particularly Maria, were a credit to the hotel.
We genuinely couldn't fault the overall experience and would 100% return. If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful hotel with stunning sea views, excellent facilities and easy access to everything Cala d'Or has to offer, we would highly recommend staying here. A truly fantastic holiday and one we won't forget!
Note: we went outside of the school holidays so this is why it may have felt quieter
*We did notice that on the all inclusive they didn't have ice lollies for children (these were payable) They did however have slushies in the day. I wasnt travelling with my children but do normally so I know for parents this is great to have included."
