"What a beautiful hotel , from entering the foyer late on the Saturday night I knew we were going to enjoy. The man who checked us in was welcoming ,polite and explained everything we needed to know. I had previously been in touch with the reception team to enquire about the possibility of upgrading our room as we were there to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary they duly got back to me a few days before we left home to advise that a upgrade could not be done as the hotel was fully booked but noted our request for a higher floor . We had booked a sea view double room and when we entered it was perfect there was a lovely touch of a personalised note and a bottle of bubbly. Opening the curtains the next morning we were greeted by the most perfect view and I spent every morning with a coffee watching the sunrise therapy in itself. What struck us both was how exceptionally clean the hotel was in every single location. The public areas never felt busy even during the busy periods of breakfast and dinner . The service in the restaurant was excellent each and every member of staff deserves a mention due to their friendliness and nothing was a problem for them. Food itself was good although not a massive choice everything we tried was of a high quality with attention to detail on every section. The pool area is again spotless and didn’t feel over crowded. My only complaint was the amount of empty sun loungers reserved with towels for the majority of the day without anyone using them sometimes leaving odd gaps and making it tricky to sit where you would have liked to. Maybe management could look at this and get staff to remove towels on these unoccupied beds after a reasonable amount of time. We had a late afternoon transfer ( after 6pm ) so asked about extending checkout reception could only manage a 2 pm checkout for a small fee however the hotel do provide a shower room which we could have used if needed. Overall this is a fantastic hotel in a fantastic location and we struggled to find any faults. We will most definitely return at some point in the future. Well done to all the team you are a credit to the hotel."
