"Before booking we emailed the hotel directly with a few questions which we received prompt responses to so we booked to stay the first week of May 2026.
After reading previous reviews we set our expectation levels fairly low.
We got a taxi direct from the airport which took approximately 25 minutes and cost 33 euros.
Check-in was fast and efficient and all of our questions were answered by the helpful reception staff.
The room we had booked was a deluxe beach view room and we were pleasantly surprised to find that it looked to have recently undergone a light refurbishment. There was plenty of hanging and storage space for our weeks stay and the wardrobe had a good sized safe that was included in the room rate. There was also a mini fridge that was ideal for water and milk etc and a kettle. The bed was large and very comfortable. The WIFI was good for web browsing and sending emails etc and the air-con worked well but was very noisy on higher settings. The downside to these rooms are that they are located at the front of the hotel and most over look the car park so the sound of cars, coaches, and bin lorries etc fitted with reversing bleepers can be really annoying, as well as delivery vehicles that leave their engines ticking over for the duration of their visit (the linen truck was the worst)!
The balcony was fine with 2 chairs, table and a useful pullout clothes airer and had the sun all afternoon from about 2pm onwards for the rest of the day.
The bathroom had hand soap, body lotion, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner in refillable pump bottles. The large walk in shower always had hot water on demand and the pressure was ok.
Cleaning, our room was cleaned daily to a good standard (as was the whole of the hotel) and towels replaced as and when required by the cheerful maids.
All inclusive package, we thought the food was probably some of the best that we have experienced on all inclusive with the exception of the desserts which on the hole were bland and unimaginative. We normally eat out at least once a day when all inclusive but did not feel the need to here, our only criticism being that the food was rarely hot enough although there was a microwave available. We thought the all inclusive drinks available (with the exception of the frozen cocktails which were poor) were excellent and included very agreeable red and white wine, Cruzcampo beer on draft and many premium branded spirits (a full drinks menu is available at the bar which clearly shows you what is included in the AI package). Although only a small thing we really appreciated that the chairs in the restaurant did not make the usual scraping noise across the floor when guests cannot be bothered to pick their chairs up although space between tables was quite tight in places.
Entertainment was low key during the day i.e. quizzes, darts, and painting, and an excellent saxophonist one afternoon at the pool bar. In the evening (everyday) whilst we were there consisted of singers and musicians, we really enjoyed Steve Sideburns, Acoustic Grooves, and Sophia.
Location, we really appreciated the peaceful location and stunning views. Cala Llonga is a small town but has a number of shops and restaurants within an approximate 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel as is the bus stop and ferry boarding. We found the buses to be very reliable, on time and cheap i.e. for a single to Santa Eularia was 1.70 euros per person and Ibiza town 2.60 Euros per person. You can also board the ferry in Cala Llonga bay and a single from Cala Llonga to Es Canar was 14 Euros per person and to Ibiza town 17 Euros per person.
To sum up.
Other than the noise from the car park (which we would NOT have traded for a sea view room with no sun on the balcony for the majority of the day).
The biggest issues for us during our stay was the sound of slamming bedroom doors and loud talking in the corridor outside our room from inconsiderate guests returning to their rooms once the entertainment and all inclusive bar had finished. There was also a loud mouth women who thought she was Cila Black re-incarnated shouting "Surprise Surprise" that arrived 2 days before we left that ruined trying to relax around the pool bar. Other than that the atmosphere was as we hoped to get from an adults only hotel i.e. peaceful and relaxing to recharge apart from if you are non smokers, as guests smoking in the under cover area of the pool bar even though there were several signs up requesting guests not to (this should be enforced by the hotel) was also not nice when trying to enjoy a drink or enjoying the entertainment!
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Palladium Cala Llonga. The hotel is clean, in a peaceful location with lovely views, good food, and the friendly staff are a credit to the hotel but sadly the issues above would stop us returning."
