SBH Costa Calma Beach

"After reading the reciews, I was concerned about our holiday. However, it was far better than expected. Whilst the rooms are dated, they are clean and perfectly adequate. The only complaint I could have about the room would be that there is no main room light. The hotel was clean, and toilets were kept clean and were regularly maintained. We found there to always be free sunbeds at different times during the day, and as a family, we never had a problem finding four beds together. Although there were not enough mattresses for all of the sun beds. The food in the restaurant was plentiful and varied, with a very continental feel at breakfast. Lunch and dinner had different choices of pasta, pizza, rice, and potatoes every day. Additionally, each meal included a range of salad with dressings, sauces, cold pasta salads, and grilled meat and fish. We found the staff to be helpful and hard working. During our stay, there were limited bars in use whilst there were four bar areas and two restaurants. During the day (10.30 - 6), the snack bar was open, serving drinks with a small buffet of salad, with a meat/fish and rice/fries. During the evening, the main bar was open serving drinks, as part of the all-inclusive until 11pm and until 1am at a cost. Due to the limited bars open at times, it caused queues, but staff were always busy. Obviously, I can only talk about our experience - and can imagine that if the hotel was full, the queueing would be significant."

"Return visit to this hotel. Room 4079 - 8/10/25. Sixth stay. Checked in on arrival by Aya she shared a joke with us on check-in. She recommended we had it to the restaurant. Our service was finishing as our arrival was late at 21:10. Rooms are clean and serviced daily, the outside area is washed down and cleaned every morning, all staff are exceptionally hard working and deserve the recognition. The restaurant served a good selection of well cooked food at every sitting. There was a good choice of beef, chicken, duck, pork, lamb, goat etc throughout our trip over the week, excellent selection of salads and cold cuts too you will not be stuck for something to eat. Rooms would benefit from modernisation but are clean. Smart TV would be a welcome addition. The general areas would also benefit from a facelift but again are clean usable. This hotel caters for a good mix of European nationalities. The only downside of our trip this time was the person (English) who felt the need to run up and down the corridor in the early hours of the morning shouting and screaming. All the staff work extremely hard from gardeners, restaurant staff, reception staff all brilliant. Would we return? The answer is yes and look forward to returning spring 2026."

"All of the other reviews we read made us very apprehensive to stay here, but we were blown away! all the staff were amazing and accommodating, the room we had was very clean and big, with a lovely balcony which the sun hit all day long so it was nice to chill out on that when we didn’t want to go out, it was seconds away from the beach, the food was lovely and we ate there everyday with always different choices, the drinks were amazing and we drank so many cocktails, it was nice to sit and chill around the pool with our drinks in the evening, the place itself was clean and was huge! the shop in the hotel had the basics but was good. the hotel was about a 10 minute walk away from some shops in the area, the only thing i’d point out is the wifi wasn’t too great, so we used our data most of the time, we would definitely go here again"
