"I am extremely happy with my stay at this hotel. From the luxury style decor to the brilliant and accommodating staffs. The hotel was always clean and tidy. The food was lovely, especially the pastries and the freshness of the fruits. The scenery is beautiful and you have the choice of eating breakfast on the terrace, which was wonderful.
Staff were accommodating and would have fresh pasta made for my child who has a lot of allergies. We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday and once staff were aware, they went above and beyond to make his day extra special. They normally would give a bottle of wine and cake but because we don't drink alcohol, I requested a towel origami and they said they don't usually do it, which I understood, as not every staff knows how to do it. It was such a lovely suprise to walk into the room and see a beautiful origami with lots of different flowers attached, along with a cake and card. This made my husband feel extra special on his birthday and I was really grateful for this.
My son has special additional needs and staff went above and beyond to be helpful. I want to say a special thank you Djilam who would take my son to see the fish tank and gave him lots of balloons to entertain him. She was very supportive and understanding of his needs. When I was leaving, I tried to tip her for how wonderful she had been and refused to take it, stating she does what she does because she loves it! How often do we meet people with a heart like that, thank you Djilam! I also want to give a special shout out to Mo, who also went above and beyond to ensure we were always comfortable. He was thoughtful and caring in his approach to us and it was really appreciated.
This was a wonderful experience. Staff would check-in regularly to ensure we were happy with our stay. Only thing missing was evening entertainment for those of us who didn't want to retire to bed early.
Room was very clean and comfortable.
Nice walking distance to the beach and coves. There's nearby restaurants that serves really nice food. If you enjoy walking, you will love the foot bridge/pathway that takes you into town or to the lighthouse without having to walk on the sand - really lovely! There's lots of restaurants and bars in town, especially if you want to have some nightlife entertainment.
At Pestana the food was lovely and well flavoured. The staff also did their best to accommodate our dietary needs when there wasn't much available for us to choose from at the buffet section. They would prepare something else for us!
There's no entertainment during the day and no entertainment every night."
