"We stayed at this hotel from the 17th to the 27th and, unfortunately, left very disappointed.
When we booked, we knew it was a 3-star hotel, so we weren't expecting luxury. The rooms are very basic and definitely need renovation, but they were good enough for sleeping.
I would like to warn anyone visiting from outside Italy: this is a resort that mainly caters to Italian guests. All the entertainment, games, evening shows, aqua gym, and activities were only in Italian. Hardly anyone spoke English, and none of the activities were offered in English, making it difficult for international guests to feel included.
The pool is divided into a deep section and a smaller shallow section. The shallow area, where most families stay, is far too small for the number of guests. On top of that, the pool closes every day from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, meaning nobody is allowed to swim during those hours. I've never experienced that at any other hotel.
The restaurant was complete chaos. On our first day, we had no idea where to sit because almost every table had a "Reserved" sign. We asked one employee, who told us we had to reserve a table. Then we asked another employee, who said reservations were only for guests with allergies or disabilities. We accepted that explanation.
However, as the days went by, it became more and more frustrating. We watched staff reserve tables for many other guests while we were constantly left looking for somewhere to sit. We even asked if we could reserve a table too, but never received a proper answer. Every meal became stressful. Sometimes the restaurant was almost empty, but we still couldn't sit down because most tables were marked as reserved. Before our last day, we once again asked for help. One employee genuinely tried to find us a table and was running around the restaurant while we felt embarrassed because everyone was watching. In the end, another guest kindly offered us their table after they had finished eating. That should never happen. I can't say for certain whether it was because we weren't Italian, but it certainly felt that way.
Housekeeping was also disappointing. During our 10-day stay, the sink, shower, and toilet were never cleaned once. The staff simply made the bed, changed the towels, and quickly swept the floor. We had a lovely balcony, but there was a bird's nest above it. Even though the nest was empty, the balcony was covered in bird droppings. Not once during our entire stay did anyone clean it.
The car park is often completely full, so finding a parking space can be very difficult.
There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms. This was my mistake because I didn't notice it before booking, but nowadays I believe Wi-Fi in guest rooms should be standard.
I would also like to mention the All Inclusive package. If you're used to All Inclusive holidays in Spain or Turkey, don't expect the same here. There is no snack bar where you can grab crisps, hot snacks, ice cream, or slush drinks for the kids throughout the day. The All Inclusive package only includes the main meals and selected drinks, and not even all alcoholic drinks are included. Everything else costs extra. To make things even less convenient, you can't simply pay at the bar or restaurant. First, you have to go to reception, load money onto a hotel card, and then use that card to buy anything. We found this system very inconvenient.
The food is a matter of personal taste, so this is only my opinion. Breakfast was good, but lunch and dinner were very hit or miss. Some days the food was enjoyable, while on other days it was disappointing. The pasta always seemed undercooked to me, although I understand this may simply be the traditional Italian way of serving it.
Another issue was the staff serving food. If someone was clearly waiting in line and another guest pushed in front, the staff never asked them to go to the back of the queue. This happened to me several times. I waited patiently, yet other people walked straight in front of me and were served first while the staff ignored it.
The location of the hotel is beautiful, and that is definitely its biggest advantage. However, what disappointed us the most was the feeling that although everyone pays the same price, international guests don't receive the same experience or level of service as Italian guests.
Sadly, we would not choose to stay here again."
