Reykjavik Residence

"Just returned from a 5 night trip to Iceland. The hotel was absolutely fantastic. Central location. Beautifully decorated. Spotlessly clean. Friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment (2 adults and 3 children). Apartment had a mezzanine with 2 single beds, living area with sofa bed and additional bedroom. Lots of storage space for clothes. Kitchen had a 6 person table and had modern appliances. Full height fridge/freezer. Induction hob and oven. Microwave and kettle. Well stocked with cutlery, plates, bowls and kitchen utensils. On arrival there was milk, juice, tea, coffee and cereal available in the room. We paid for breakfast which was a huge basket of breads, fruit, yogurts, cheese and cold meats (placed in your fridge the evening before). Milk and juices also replaced. Every morning a fresh sourdough loaf was left on the apartment door. We regularly had food left over from breakfast which we then had for lunch or dinner. Rooms were cleaned each day. Free laundry in the basement with washing machines, washing powder, dryers and iron. The hotel had everything you could need for a fantastic stay."

"We enjoyed our stay in our studio suite in the Embassy building, room 301, very much. The room was plenty spacious for the 2 of us during our 3 night stay. The room was clean and well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. It had a nice kitchen area which included a microwave, toaster, coffee maker and plenty of plates, bowls and utensils. The location couldn't be better right in the center of everything, yet the room was totally quiet. The concierge service in arranging transportation was very helpful and much appreciated. The daily breakfast was delicious and satisfying. The only issue we had was with the shower. The slanted roof line in this top floor room made standing up under the shower impossible. I am over 6 feet tall, but even my wife who is 5ft 6, had difficulty showering. If you are over 5 1/2 feet tall, you will want to request a different room. Also, this room is up a flight of stairs, so it wouldn't be suitable for anyone not able to climb stairs."

"Awesome stay for a week in the Reykjavik Residence Hotel, the room was very clean and comfortable, with a modern stylish design, and the breakfast was fresh and tasty, varying each day. The folks at the reception have been really nice and helpful with any inquires I had, providing great service and eager to help with any information or suggestions. The superior studio I stayed in was really quiet and I couldn't hear any noise from outside. The location is perfect, as it's close to several bus stops from which most day trips are starting, and within walking distance of many sights around the city. The main street full of shops and restaurants is right close the the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone."
