"PROS – great staff and service, good location, contemporary modern décor all throughout (lobby, shared spaces, room), lots of closet space in the room, good amenities in the room (iron, hair drier, kettle, adjustable heater, dishes and utensils), room had great blackout curtains CONS – just one con but it was a big one for me. The noise. Two sources – First; an overhead vent operated until 10pm (then switched off) and on again from 5.45am. I had travelled and was tired and ready for an early night (pre-10pm). I asked staff earlier in the evening and they were great and helpful, in the sense that they let me know it would switch off at 10pm, so it was good to know the end was coming. I forgot to ask about start time in the morning, so the 5.45am noise was a surprise. I mentioned to staff when I checked out and they said they'd add a note to my file and next time, would put me in a different room, which was kind of them. Be warned, certain rooms seem to have this overhead vent and ear plugs are a must. Second source; street noise outside my window because my room was next to a garage entrance and seemed to be a place where trucks came to park, idle, turn around etc. This started from 5.30am. Again, staff were great - I whatsapped from my room at 5.50am and someone immediately bought me earplugs. Even with those, I could hear the street noise so that was tough. I'm not sure that I would stay here again just because of that. I'm not a light sleeper, not heavy either – something in the middle, but lack of sleep is a biggy for me. There were loads of pros and if someone figures out any better rooms from the noise perspective (e.g. not ground floor? not facing a certain way?) then this place is 100% terrific, just for me, noise was a massive issue hence 3 stars unfortunately.
