Apex City of London Hotel

"Always stay here, but on this occasion it was below the normal first class service I expect. I paid more than I normally would and got the most basic room, yet my friend booked it a week later and got it 25% cheaper and a nicer room. Breakfast staff looked overrun and a little stressed which kind of transferred to probably all the people in there just empathising. It wouldn’t stop me saying here again but if the room cost was the same I would certainly look elsewhere"

"Great location if you are looking for proximity to Tower Hill. It is behind the Four Seasons. We stayed in Superior King Room which I would recommend for a couple. Our friends did not and had what appeared to be two twins pushed together and commented their room was very small and next to the elevator. Check in/check out was fast, we did use the bar and Lampery for dinner one night and the service and food was excellent. Bathroom is fine, but no hooks for towels, bathrobes clothes, otherwise the room was comfortable and included a couch at the foot of the bed that provided easy seating while watching TV before bed. Our view was the backside of Four Seasons hotel which we have also stayed at and enjoyed. As this was a quick turnaround stay, the Apex suited our needs perfectly. Easy walking distance to Tower Hill, Bridge, St. Paul's Cathedral. The Tower Hill tube stop is literally 3 minute walk and we used the tube to get around. We flew into Heathrow from Shannon Airport and took the Elizabeth Line to Liverpool St, jump on the Circle Line and take a couple of stops to Tower Hill. Couldn't be easier"
