Sultan Gardens Resort Sharm El Sheikh

"At first I was worried, the air con in our room was so loud that I did not sleep at all on the first night, after speaking to management they changed our room straight away. If you plan on staying at this hotel make sure you op for the upgraded rooms. There were 5 swimming pools one of which was for over 14s which was a god send, there was also an adults only eating section in the restaurant. The staff at this hotel were amazing especially EHAB who waited on us in the adult section of the restaurant for the majority of our visit, he definitely made our holiday. The lifeguard who was also at the over 14’s pool for that majority of our stay was also amazing, he could not have done enough for us. Like I said all the staff were lovely but these two really stood out for us. There were very few English people staying at this hotel, but this was not a problem at all as all the staff spoke English and all the music played round by the pool was English too. The hotel is massive, there are taff taff’s (buses) that pick you up and will drop you off round the hotel as the private beach is down a hill and you don’t really want to be walking up it in 40 degree heat. The only reason for a 4* and not a 5* is purely down to my preference, with my family being non smokers and have never smoked, we found it a little uncomfortable at times as everyone smokes, guests were even smoking or vaping in the pool. This would be the only reason why we would not return to this hotel, but if you are a smoker then you would love this place."

"A bit late with this review. In our opinion Sultan Gardens is the best hotel in Sharm. The staff her make it exceptional and one of the main reasons we have been coming back her since our first visit in 2010, we come here 2, usually 3 times a year. From check-in to check-out they cannot do enough for you. Reception staff are wonderful, so helpful, all of them but special mention to Ibrahim Ali, always so helpful and takes the time to listen and help with anything. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and the cleaning staff are always helpful, Buffet restaurant always has good choice of food to suit all tastes, staff in here work so hard, including waiters, managers and chefs, special mention to managers, Lofty and Waleed, and waiter Mohamed Said, its like coming home whenever we go back. The A la carte restaurants are excellent, staff, service and food. All 3 are great, House of Spice Indian is amazing, Manager Mohamed Shaban is so lovely, staff as always, so friendly and helpful and Mohamed runs this place like a 5 star. The food is some of the best Indian we have ever had, better than some here at home, Mohamed is always happy to add something else if you ask and the Head Chef always comes out to speak to guests if he can. you won't be sorry you booked, in June it was down by the Beach and sitting outside was lovely, Italian restaurant, Casa Mia, Manager Ahmed Ghoniem is again once of the best and makes the evening feels so special, food is fabulous and so much choice, special mention to Ali, our favourite waiter, then Fleur De Lis, Manager Maroose always makes the experience special and often asks the chefs to make a little something special, the crispy Prawns were amazing, and thankyou to my favourite chef, lovely staff and the setting is perfect, overlooking the sea, beautiful in the evening (also they do lunch her daily, food is lovely and plenty of choice. its difficult to choose a favourite out of them all. There are plenty of pools, more than enough sunbeds and the towels are thick and clean. life boys/pool staff are again exceptional, Mohamed (we call him the manager but I think he is Deputy), we have known him since our first visit in 2010 and he is the best, actually Sultan, he should be running all of the pools, he visits every pool, 2 or 3 times a day, he misses nothing, the smallest thing lying on the floor is picked up, the staff have so much respect for him, he will help with anything, not just to do with pools, he is the Font of all Knowledge for us. The lobby bar is beautiful, day and evening, inside or out , 2 of my favourite managers here, Ahmed and Mohamed Lotfy, and my favourite waiter Fathey, his smile lights up any room and he makes the best Tequila Sunrise. The staff I've mentioned are like dear friends to us but honestly all staff across the whole Hotel are the best, even the gardeners greet you with a smile. A little mention for Marina, Guest Relations, again, so helpful and always looks so happy. Back in September to see you all again."
