"Just returned home from a lovely 2 week stay at Concorde. We all had a great time.
Rooms we had 2 deluxe double sea view rooms, 1 on first floor with lovely sea view small balcony and seats (be aware the birds poop there a lot onto towels etc)
Other room was ground floor garden and sea view with very small seating terrace could have done with another chair when set up for 3 people. Room had 3 beds 1 being a fold out bed not ideal for 3 large young adults but decent mattress on it.
Both rooms absolutely massive with seating, great amount of storage and walk in shower. The mini fridge and safe are good. 2 large bottles of water daily. Cleaning staff work so hard and are a credit to the hotel. Mohamed was very kind, polite and professional and should be acknowledged.
2 minute walk to main pool / main restaurant / beach front from rooms which is fab!
Rooms are a little tired, tile grouting, sealant etc needs work. But all in all great rooms, comfortable beds, floor to ceiling blackout curtains and the best air con ever!
Main hotel is stunning and certainly feels 5 stars. Reception staff good and the little shops are very handy and well stocked.
Pools all lovely we mainly used the main pool. Again tile grouting needs work all round but on the whole pool is lovely. If you any decent spot you need to get up no later than 7am. Especially if you’re in a big group. Pool staff and life guards always help you out.
Very busy pool bar and staff work tirelessly to keep everyone happy. Special thank you to Ahmed at the bar who makes you smile, makes great drinks and so helpful with restaurant bookings. Pool bar food and ice creams lovely.
Special thanks to the lovely Bambino who looked after us all and was very kind and professional.
Main restaurant fantastic - all staff work hard. A special thanks to Hany who always found us 5 a good table and made sure everything was clean and well set out. So kind and friendly to us all.
Food is varied and beautiful. Can’t fault the choice at all. Displays of desserts are stunning and the nightly carved roast is a nice touch too.
Lovely soups and always a good variation even over 2 weeks always different choices.
The utensils for serving get well used especially the cake tongs and would be good if there were washed sporadically during service or more tongs put out for use.
Room service is great decent price, lovely choice and well made. The member of staff who delivered was so lovely.
Best mixed drinks by far at Vendom bar. Fantastic bar staff. Cocktails there are superb and more authentic. Staff there and piano bar are all very good, efficient and friendly. Piano bar is stunning.
We had the Mexican meal at pool side one evening, great atmosphere although a little dark to see. Ate twice at Flame, one set mixed grill and then the al a cart menu. Prices decent for al a cart but could barely see what was in front of us so had to shine phone torches, so not the best experience, plus not enough fans and super hot. Although staff and food were great we had a nice time. Went to Italian for couple of breakfasts and lunches and all lovely. Again different atmosphere which was lovely with sea views.
Spa was lovely we had Cleopatra treatments. Little expensive at £100 each but was a nice treat. Massage options are soft medium or hard. I chose medium and was quite bruised the next few days but I do bruise easily.
Lounge on an evening is nice and relaxing and we took cards and games.
Entertainment is fine, something on main restaurant outdoor area every night. Nightclub we never went to. Some day activities such as volleyball, foam party, and aqua aerobics.
Pool party was lots of fun. Games room pool tables are free and great aircon. Toilets in there are spotless.
The beach is gorgeous and different levels. Plenty beds and shades. The snorkelling at the reef off the pontoon is amazing! We loved it. Even bit of shore you can go in you see beautiful fish close by. Clean beach and beach bar is nice.
Soho square on the door step was lovely experience couple of times, great shops (make sure you haggle) and bars. Queen Vic great. Fountains and statues are all beautiful.
We did a boat trip booked through the lovely Ali at the pool. Queen VIP is the smartest most comfortable boat we’ve ever been on. Crew all lovely and the lunch was amazing. Well worth booking this trip to Ras Mohammad and White Island. I’d recommend beach / water shoes as the swim / wade to White Island can be sharp underfoot.
Best trip we did again booked via Ali, was the 5 in 1 trip Quad / buggy, camel ride, show, dinner, echo mountain and star gazing. So much fun but quads not for faint hearted, especially coming back in dark. Both trips £435 total for 5 adults. Well worth it and very well organised.
Airport transfers through suninternational / on the beach were beautiful vehicle, air con and so clean, great staff and service and hassle free both ways. Very well organised.
Weather was red hot and there is plenty of shaded areas. Whole hotels aircon and WiFi is superb.
Was quite noisy early morning as next door hotel being demolished but didn’t spoil anything.
We have all had really bad upset stomachs. Missed initial boat trip booking but Ali switched it for us kindly. Some of us quite badly needing medications for the stay and got through 3 boxes of antinol and Imodium . Not sure where or what from the source of the bug is, but hotel food does seem well cooked etc. Personally I think it’s other people’s dirty hygiene standards. Seen people use loo and not wash hands is disgusting. Maybe hand sanitiser around the pool side may help too and even some small bottles with the salt and pepper on tables. We had our own and still got ill.
Pool side toilet is grim at times but that’s not the cleaners fault that’s the customers dirtiness. The cleaners and grounds staff work so hard. The gardens and grounds of the hotel are definitely 5 star because of the staff.
Late check out was good paid $50 to keep a room. We could have lunch and soft drinks. We left at 9pm but could only have room until 5pm but that was fine.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday, the rest, the experiences and the staff made all that happen."
