"I chose this hotel for my solo holiday to Prague largely due to the great reviews on here and I liked the modern style. I also felt like they cared about the customer experience which gave me confidence in booking. Prior to my arrival I emailed the hotel and at first I had no reply from the reception email so I sent a follow up email a few days later to the reservations email and the very lovely Iva kindly replied that my requests had been noted.
On arrival my room requests had been granted which I very much appreciated.
My room had a pleasant view and was so quiet, i heard no noise from outside the hotel or inside, such a peaceful hotel it was a pleasure to return to after a day in the busy but beautiful city of Prague.
The room was spacious, very clean and modern, just perfect. Sadly there was no fridge in the room but the hotel barman Jirka who was friendly and helpful, he kindly gave me an ice bucket so I could fill it up on the hotel floor.
There is a very cool tea/coffee machine in the room which I used for hot water to enjoy the teabags provided. Its nice that this facility is in the room as it adds to the comfort.
They do provide a complimentary bottle of water on arrival which is a nice touch but it would be nicer if it was replaced each day however there is a Lidl near the hotel which sells very cheap water.
The bathroom was lovely, the shower was hot and powerful which was great, the only thing was the shower screen wasn't great as the water still ended up on the floor which isn't such a big deal as lots of towels were provided and replaced but it could be a slip hazard.
On arrival there was nice sweet on the pillow and the maid service each day was fantastic, it was nice to return to a clean, fresh room each day
It isn't a smart tv as such which is a shame but it did have you tube, wi fi was excellent, no issues. The room has a/c which is important for a good nights sleep during a hot summer in Prague.
The reception staff were generally nice and helpful, Jan Q was friendly and kindly honoured the complimentary arrival drink that is given for checking in at the kiosk even though it wouldn't work for me and I had to check in with the front desk.
Breakfast was very nice, a great selection and I sat by the window each day which was lovely. It was the same each day so for a long stay it might get a bit repetitive but still plenty of choice. What I will say is that despite it being very quiet during my stay the staff rarely smiled at breakfast which is a shame as for many people this is a holiday not just work. One staff member was just incredibly rude when I sat down one day a little later than usual however I was never the last to leave. They just didn't make you feel very relaxed or welcome, it was like they couldn't wait for you to leave. The hosts however were always pleasant and the one staff member who did smile each day was Marketa and it made such a difference to be greeted with a pleasant welcome. So my one big suggestion for improvement would be the staff just being a bit happier at breakfast as it really killed the atmosphere.
The location of the hotel is great. It is connected to a mall with a handy food court, lots of coffee shops etc. You can't walk into the centre of Prague from the hotel but the public transport is fantastic in Prague and it is so incredible quick, easy and cheap to get into the centre this way.
Guests also have free and unlimited access to a lovely spa that is within the mall,
close to the hotel. I was able to enjoy the sauna, steam, pool etc which was amazing and it was a great facility to have access to. They offer beauty treatments including massage at a great price however they don't have much availability and you have to pay in full in advance which in travelling the world with my job regularly I have never been asked to do. This personally put me off booking which I would have done otherwise.
All in all I am so glad I chose this hotel for my holiday in Prague. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family, friends and colleagues and I would happily stay again if I had the opportunity to visit Prague again.
