"I echo the comments of the many excellent reviews this hotel/resort has received.
Having travelled extensively and stayed in many highly rated hotels, this property is truly up there with the best.
My wife and I visited at the end of October / beginning of November (UK school half term) with our two sons and their families — eleven of us in total, including grandchildren.
Accommodation
We had two family rooms and one suite, all of which were spacious and very well laid out, with separate bedroom areas. The two family rooms were located next to each other and overlooked the pool — ideal for our group.
Rooms were well equipped with slippers, dressing gowns, and tea/coffee-making facilities. A particularly nice touch was that rooms were not overlooked or directly opposite other blocks, which added to the feeling of space and privacy.
Pools & Beach
Although I believe the hotel was fully booked during our stay, there were always plenty of sunbeds available around the main pool and on the beach. If you wanted a specific sunbed in a prime area, you would need to be up around 7:30am, but otherwise availability was never an issue.
Pool temperatures were well thought out:
• Small shallow pool – heated
• Larger pool – heated to a slightly lower temperature
• Main pool – not heated, but refreshing and perfectly acceptable
• Adults-only pool – not used by us, so unable to comment
Dining & Food
The food and dining options were excellent and catered for everyone, from our 5-year-old grandson to more refined adult tastes.
Hemera Restaurant (Buffet)
An extensive selection of high-quality produce with numerous show-cooking stations at all dining times.
À la Carte – Akdeniz
A high-end dining experience with excellent service, menu, and relaxed indoor ambience.
Mizuhi Sushi – €30pp (well worth it)
The waiter was more than happy to discuss and explain menu options without any pressure. A relaxed outdoor (covered) setting and excellent food.
Olive Restaurant
The busiest of the à la carte restaurants we visited. On this occasion we had a table for all 11 of us, which understandably felt a little chaotic, but despite the pressure, the staff were attentive, friendly, and even managed to provide additional items not on the menu (chips!), which delighted the grandchildren.
Meltem Burger House & Kumsal Beach Snack Bar
At lunchtime, whether by the pool or at the beachfront snack bar, staff were always happy to move chairs and tables to accommodate all 11 of us together, without any fuss — and always with smiles.
The beachfront snack bar offered an excellent mix of plated options and self-service stations (jacket potatoes, flatbreads, pasta, etc.).
Hanımeli Patisserie
A lovely spot with friendly, attentive service that was warm without being intrusive.
Drinks
A nice touch for an all-inclusive resort was not having to wear wristbands.
The cocktail quality was outstanding — genuinely the best we have ever experienced at an all-inclusive resort and easily comparable with high-end cocktail bars in the UK. If you requested a particular branded spirit, it was happily used.
Service & Staff
The majority of staff spoke excellent English, which made communication effortless throughout our stay.
A special mention to:
• The young ladies in the lobby — on several occasions I became confused with drink orders for grandchildren and family members, especially as orders changed mid-way, yet they were always smiling, patient, and got everything right.
• The ever-smiling young security lady at the promenade entrance — I greeted her in Turkish each morning and she kindly pretended to understand me.
• Guest Relations — a true gentleman who created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Entertainment & Activities
The entertainment programme was varied and enjoyable, with a particularly enthusiastic and funny young lady running the daily darts competitions.
Evening entertainment offered good variety, with options to:
• Stay for live artists near the Meltem Bar
• Relax at the beach bar with a DJ later on
Water Park
Although there are only around six slides, they kept our grandchildren (aged 5, 9, 10, 11 & 14) entertained for many hours. It does close briefly around lunchtime and finishes mid-afternoon (around 4:30pm).
Soft Play & Kids’ Club
A big success with our grandchildren.
Halloween Party
WOW WOW WOW!
The Halloween event was spectacular — truly something special. A little scary in places, but thoroughly enjoyed by all of us.
Small Suggestions for Enhancement
The only minor points we felt could further enhance an already excellent resort were around facilities for teenagers. We believe the teenage club was not open until around 7pm in the evening, and it would have been nice if this had been available throughout the day.
It would also have been great to see outdoor activities such as a pool table or table tennis table near one of the pools, allowing teenagers (and adults) to play casually outdoors. While rackets were available, there was no badminton court, which would have been a nice addition.
These are minor observations, but addressing them could easily elevate the experience even further.
