"This will be a lengthy review as i want to express i was very sceptical booking this resort after reading reviews on this resort and i was almost considering changing resorts. My anxiety got the better of me and i decided to go ahead and go for it.
Firstly i'd like to thank the lifeguard Islam and his colleague who came to help my daughter with a slice toe she got somehow from the indoor pool area. They were so fast to get her sorted, they reported the incident so fast, and they sorted her out so quick, i was surprised. Brilliant staff. We were offered a doctor and the hotel management team even phoned our room to check in on her and asked again if we would like a doctor, we declined but it was very impressive and they were quick to help my upset daughter. They are a credit to the team so please thank them for their incredible service.
All i can give really is positive comments on this resort.
Food - was delicious, yes it's mainly the same food most days in the buffet, but lots of choices even for kids, the puddings were our favourite. There are many sitting areas within the Buffet restaurant (situated on minus 1 floor). Kids themed sitting area, Asian themed for those aged over 16, a Mediterranean coloured theme sitting area i believe for families, one sitting area was reserved so we never got to use that sitting area and there was one other family sitting area down the far left of the buffet restaurant.
Restaurants - Italian Restaurant just not my thing (Jet2 gave us a free Italian meal for booking over 7 night stay). We eat at the Beef Grill would highly recommend (need to make a reservation and pay for the meal at the main reception desk afterwards) We loved the food there. Fish restaurant - need to reserve but we never booked that one.
Shops - not far from the resorts also a Dolphinarium nearby but not the greatest place for a dolphin show (Land of Legends was much better)
Taxi rank at the bottom of the resort we used a few times would highly recommend them as well. You can book the taxi's from the hotel if you wish.
Pools - Not all were open when we first arrived but we knew this already, so outdoor pool near the indoor pool are heated (this was my daughter's favourite pool). Indoor pool not as warm but consists of 1 big pool and 2 jacuzzi pools.
Kids aqua park - opened later on from 1st April (weather depending) but my daughter refused to go look at it, she preferred the quieter outdoor pool only used the indoor pool when it rained.
Main pool opens from April 1st weather depending and it's freezing is the water.
Beach - we never used, the jetty was closed - i believe this opens later in the year. Lots of sun loungers.
Cabana's - Round pool and beach you need to rent, prices depends on location.
Location - Lovely location right in between Miracle Hotel and the Delphin Hotel, walking distance to shops in Lara.
Cleanliness - Always clean and tidy can't complain
Noise - was alright unfortunately there was a family with a baby next door to us that wouldn't settle until 11:30pm most evenings (can't be helped) and as time went by neighbours on the other side to us came in with a family at 1am waking me up as they were slamming doors, moving furniture and the young kids were running about and shouting (again nothing can be done, it's not the hotel's fault. Its a family resort.
Room with part Sea View - Room compromised with 2 single beds we put together and a sofa bed for my daughter, bathroom with a large sink, toilet, storage space under sink, large shower along with shampoo, conditioner and body wash and bathrobes. 1 wardrobe, safe, plenty of shelves, TV, with a storage/desk unit underneath. Desk, chair, plenty of plug sockets but you will need a adapter for UK 3 pin plugs. Balcony with excellent views of the sea over to your right and mountain view to your left. Perfect room for us.
You do get towel cards one each - we brought our own towels. No fighting for sun loungers but we came out of season.
Weather - For March into April we were hit with 2 rainy days out of our 10 day holiday getting hit by Storm Dave on our final day. It's cold on a morning and evening but during the day it was lovely and warm
Spa - we never used so cannot comment
Kids Club - We didn't use again cannot comment.
Shops in the resort - expensive so we went out for snacks, souvenirs etc, we did buy a Titanic bear for my daughter from the Titanic Shop for 20 Euro's. The Gift Shop never opened whilst we were there.
Heading towards April the resort got busier but by this time we weren't far from leaving.
We had our luggage taken to our room when we arrived, we had a bit of a wait for the departure back to the airport and the staff were quick to come and help with our luggage and move it into a luggage storage area, so we could enjoy the hotel facilities until we left.
Excursions - I prebooked most before arriving. But Aquarium took about 30 mins to get to, if that. Land of Legends about 20 to 25 mins in a taxi. Upper Duden Waterfall about 30-40 mins in a taxi (taxi man even gave us a tour round the park). Lower Duden Waterfall about 10-15 mins went on local bus and walked down to the waterfall. Antalya Old Town and the Kaleici Marina took about 30 mins on bus LCO7A. You need a AntalyaKart card for bus the machine is outside Ramada Hotel a small walk away from the resort. Perge is about 30 mins in a taxi from the resort.
Overall Experience: By far one of my best holidays yet, shame you can't book the fancy suites on Jet2. Only complaint would be the noise but as stated it cannot be helped, it's a family resort. Would definitely come back again."
