"In all honesty, disappointing. We were expecting a lot from the online coverage of the hotel, but expectations just weren’t met.
Best way to describe this holiday, is that we have been coming to turkey since 2022, but we won’t be returning after this holiday.
Strange to explain, as there isn’t necessarily anything missing from the hotel as such, but it was just bang average hotel experience with rude guests and staff. How this hotel is ranked 41 out of 100 on here blows our minds.
In all fairness, this was the first holiday we have been on in the school holidays so we definitely appreciate this is a factor too.
All in all, for the amount of money spent, there are better hotels in the same area we would recommend to people. We came to the same area last year but stayed at Gloria golf resort. This is more expensive but was 100% worth it in our experience. The facilities are similar but the standard is just higher overall and made a more enjoyable experience.
General restaurant experience
Absolute Chaos!!!
Expected to be seated at 5* but you just get left to fend for yourselves. People pouncing for tables.
Out if the 10 nights we were here, we shared a table with another family on 5 of those. To put into perspective, we went to an ala carte restaurant for two nights. So in total, we had our own table in the main restaurant on 3 nights. There is 3 of us….
Breakfast was poor. We found we just didn’t look forward to going to breakfast. The fruit selection was poor, no strawberries for example? not much cereal choice. The set out seemed odd, there is honey that is on a random wall by itself away from the food, jam is with cereals away from bread, croissants etc. a bit pedantic I know, but it was just not what we expected. It was tough to find things until days later, if you asked a question you were a nuisance. Even asking for drinks in a morning seemed to irritate the staff, but there is no self service on drinks here. Otherwise, everything average.
Lunch - outside pool bar was great. Lots of choice, freshly made and quick service.
Never went for lunch inside restaurant.
Evening meal - food was a great quality. Lots of choice and tasty. Tended to be majority sane menu each night so make sure to break this up with ala cartes.
Review of ala cartes
Went to two restaurants. We’re not blown away; if anything, food in the buffet was much better. However positive was you actually got a table when you walked in.
Chinese- food was average.
Turkish - Better than Chinese but not blown away.
Service was great here though, fatih was very accommodating
Kids stuff
Soft play was fine, but main attraction broken (pic attached of what it looks like on jet2 and in real life).
Very clean and well organised. However, this is only open 2-5pm each day. Rest of kids club is open so I found it strange that the soft play wasn’t.
Lots for kids to do, kids fest through one of the days in the afternoon, kids club is all day. Parents can leave kids there all day with staff if want to. Huge facilities.
Lots of staff in the kids club which was super, always someone in every area so kids are always safe.
The outside Playground in the kids club is not as good like it looks on pics, only 2 slides in reality.
Each day in the kids club they did activities such as making sleep masks, painting, archery etc. really good.
Beach and pools
Beach was lovely, plenty of sun beds with bar and snacks right there. Really enjoyed the beach.
Pool areas were great, so many sections to choose from.
Sunbeds around the pool were an issue. If you don’t get out early, there definitely aren’t enough for everyone. People will just take others sun beds (witnessed a few times!)
Lots of drinks, snacks and toilets available throughout the day.
Entertainment
Great, acts we saw were fab. Lots of options to choose from on a night if you don’t want to watch the act, there was generally a really good dj on.
Daily entertainment was fun, lots of exercise classes and darts/bowls for everyone.
Kids club/mini disco every night and a kids show straight after. There was also colouring on a nighttime which my daughter loved.
Really close to land of legends which is well worth a visit. You can go on all rides in swimwear as it’s a water park too, so helps with the heat. Hotel is under 10 mins drive from here so great location.
Rooms - room was how it looked on the website, everything needed. Bath and shower with separate toilet was ideal, not often have in hotels so we were happy with that.
As English family, we just felt very isolated. Mostly catered for Eastern Europeans which are mostly rude and horrendously mannered. Multiple spats with people pushing to front of queues for food, sun loungers and general things. Wouldn’t mind but all staff catered to it.
At one point my 5 year old daughter (who is extremely polite), was ignored at the ice cream at the pool bar, for almost 10 minutes. So many Russian adults pushed in front of her and the server just ignored her. My husband stormed over and intervened, for the lady behind the counter to laugh!! She then proceeded to point and snigger at my daughter AGAIN with another member of staff when she went up for another ice cream ten minutes later!
We couldn’t record names as guess what, they don’t wear name tags through the day 😑
All in all, we wouldn’t return and we wouldn’t recommend. If we were to rate this hotel and the overall experience out of 10, it would be a 4.
Not the worst, but certainly nowhere near a top hotel."
