ibis Faro Algarve

"Very clean hotel, perfect breakfast buffet. The staff is very friendly; I particularly thank them for allowing us to keep the room until 4 PM because our flight had been delayed by 10 hours!! I highly recommend it."

"it was not my first time here. I was, as in previous visits, looking for some days of relaxation. the staff tries the impossible to please guests, but some guests would rather be banned from any hotel. the hotel is now being the place for cheap flights' people, looking for get drunk and get a sunburn as well. Loud people, swearing words, dropping cigarettes' ashes on the fake grass, where babies fall, hands and face on. instead of just complaining, I am suggesting the management to apply the following rules, so that guests looking for a quiet and nice atmosphere are not surprised with these trolls: HIRE more staff members; the pool area needs permanent staff to enforce good behaviour, as the hotel does not distinguish, everyone is accepted, so all guests have the right to enjoy the hotel; the bar at the pool is most of the time without anyone to serve drinks or re-enforce behaviours; HIRE more staff; drinks at the pool area should come in acrylic glasses as broken glass is not seen in the fake grass; smokers should be considerate of non-smokers and look for a spot to smoke away from guests looking for relaxation; all common areas (lift, corridors, bar and reception inside, bar and pool outside) should have a sign making it compulsory for guests to use headphones for all sound coming out of their electronics, so that silent guests can also enjoy their stay; staff working at breakfast time should dispense the same products whoever they are (some days we have seeds, others not); the same staff working at breakfast should be in the room (at least one of them); not staying the whole time inside the kitchen; at the end I am sad to say I have to look for another hotel in Faro, possibly in the centre, noisier but preferable, even if more expensive, if the price prevents the horrible people I shared space with from staying there."

"The Ibis is located on a four-lane off-road and is easy to reach on arrival. To the center you have to follow this road further and further. All in all very average and a bit in need of renovation. Room small. Air conditioning and elevator worked. I didn't take any meals. The bar is constantly open and also offers dishes a la carte. Ample parking in front of the door."
