Vitors Plaza

"Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Vitors Plaza. The staff were very friendly, and the apartment was comfortable, especially the beds, and was really spacious with a large balcony overlooking the pool.  The pool area was lovely and great to have the indoor pool as an option. We only ate lunch in the restaurant on our first day, which was tasty, and the rest of the time, we either ate in our apartment, ate out, or got a takeaway. The supermarket is a 10/15 min walk and is very good (think Tesco) and there are a few restaurants, also within walking distance, with more choice in the centre of Alvor. Ubers are very reasonable and incredibly quick to arrive once booked – we were waiting no more than 5 mins. Just a few niggling criticisms though: Pool towels are not provided which is a bit strange. We usually bring our own to supplement the towels given by the hotel and had forgotten them, so we ended up having to take an uber to the local Decathlon to buy towels. Given that there is no dishwasher in the apartment, you would have thought that they would at least provide washing up liquid and a cleaning brush, but there was nothing. We ended up having to purchase a massive bottle of washing up liquid and leave it there, which wasn’t expensive, but seemed quite wasteful. As others have written in past reviews, the outdoor pool was freezing and given that it wasn’t hight of summer where it is so hot that it’s a welcome relief, it would have been nice to have had the outdoor pool a bit warmer and accessible. Again, as others have said, the sunbeds are not that comfortable. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at Vitors Plaza and would definitely return."

"Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Third time to The Algarve and last visit was a 5* so was expecting to be disappointed but really couldn't fault the place. Stayed with husband and 15 year old son. Great facilities, rooms are nice and clean, staff friendly. Really cannot fault and have just booked to come back!. Tips: Supermarket is 12 mins walk (flat), leave the hotel go right to roundabout then go left, follow the road and it'll take you straight there. Bakery is on the way just after the roundabout (Mel and Canela). Fantastic pizza and pasta at Al Fresco restaurant (takeaway also) Margarita £8/9 was delicious and ordered a takeaway one night via restaurant site (4 euros delivery). Restaurant is 15 minutes flat walk from Vitors ( turn left, walk straight through roundabout and follow the road to next roundabout and turn right (across the road). Shopping!!! Take an Uber to Aqua Portimao for approx £4/5 (10 mins away) it's a shopping mall and has a large Primark, Pull and Bear, Tiffosi and Stradivarius, Rituals (saved £5 on small gift set compared to UK). I recommend Parfois, loads more shops and far better than what we have back 🏡. Mall also has huge selection of eating places upstairs incl KFC McDonald's etc. on Lower floor there is a large Auchan supermarket too! Ubers are great to get around and cheap. Used Ubers a lot when visiting the Algarve. Can't recommend the mall enough,"
