"Just got back from a week at this fantastic hotel. The staff can’t do enough to make your stay one to remember. The facilities are first class and the hotel spotless and the quality of the food is first class. Olhos de Aguas is a small village with a lovely beach five minutes away but if you have a family with young children there is loads to do in the hotel with water slides, a nice play area and 3 really good pools. The entertainment team work hard and there are plenty of things do , both in the day and night times. This has become one of my favourite hotels."

"We had the most wonderful holiday and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely magnificent. The entertainment was fantastic, with something for everyone, and all the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The service was exceptional, and what impressed us most was how well looked after we felt while travelling with our baby under 2 years old. The team went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, which made our holiday so much more relaxing and enjoyable. The whole experience was truly amazing, and we made some wonderful memories as a family. We honestly didn’t want to leave and are already looking forward to coming back next year! "This was our first family holiday in Portugal and our first visit to a 3HB hotel. We traveled as a party of five adults in September 2026. This was considered to be the last likely holiday we will all do together, as we are now fully grown adults, and differing work commitments and life needs make it an inevitable challenge. We all wanted a hassle-free and chilled "last hurrah" abroad together. I will get straight to the point: we loved this hotel and rated this holiday as one of the best breaks abroad we have ever had. Let me share all the positives. 1. Cleanliness (5/5 Stars) The hotel is spotlessly clean. I have never seen another hotel give such meticulous attention to every aspect of cleaning. From the room service to the communal areas, dining rooms, reception, and pool areas, there was constant cleaning by the marvelous staff—they were amazing. 2. Rooms and Accommodation (5/5 Stars) We booked a family room and two twin rooms. Both types were elegant, stylish, and fully air-conditioned. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms featured wonderfully nice shampoos, conditioners, and hand washes. My room overlooked the front road, but it was quiet, and I was very happy. My daughter's room overlooked the pool area. Towels were clean and refreshed as often as required. 3. Food and Dining (5/5 Stars) The hotel features a main breakfast and dining area, two separate bookable restaurants (one Mediterranean-themed and the other Asian/Chinese, both at no extra charge), and a snack bar open until late. Honestly, you could spend all day eating if that is your thing! The food was fantastic, and we never struggled to find plenty of nice dishes. My daughter requires gluten-free options, and there was plenty for her to choose from. Drink stations are available across the pool and dining areas for coffee, alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, and water as part of the package. 4. Pools and Spa (5/5 Stars) There are three pools to enjoy: The Main Pool: Features a swim-up bar and disability access. The Relax Pool: A smaller, quieter area for a more chilled vibe. The Indoor Pool: Located next to the spa (which I didn't use), it is heated, exceptionally clean, and accompanied by a Turkish steam room and a Swedish sauna. Ther is also a jacuzzi. Water quality and cleanliness were faultless across the board. We had no problems finding sunbeds together. While some guests did reserve beds despite hotel rules, there were so many available that it never impacted us in September. Both outside pool areas also have numerous parasols for shade. 5. Entertainment (4/5 Stars) We had mixed opinions on the entertainment: The Positives: My wife and son loved the aqua aerobics sessions, which were longer and more thorough than the usual quick holiday routines. We loved the sports bar at night, where we played board and card games while others watched international football. The barman was funny, and we had great debates over the proper way to make my nightly Black Russian. The drink selection was great. The Main Stage Area: None of us liked the layout or the acts very much. The seating area is crowded and features a number of large pillars that block the view of the stage. It felt a bit out of place compared to the rest of the stylish hotel, so we didn't go often. A Minor Gripe: Check-In Policy Overall, there is so much to praise that I cannot cover it all—including a small but well-stocked gym, an enclosed football area, and a children's play area. If I must offer one piece of constructive criticism, it is the 3HB check-in policy. Visitors should be prepared that if you arrive early (we arrived at 10:00 AM), rooms are typically not ready until between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM. This means newly arrived guests can spend a long time unable to unpack or settle in right away. Based on what I saw, this is a common frustration, so just be aware of it in advance! I highly recommed this hotel. It is located a few minutes walk to the beach and local village area (which was not very busy). It is not in a particulally lively area and will suit families and couple looking to relax and unwind. We will be returning as everyone in our group said they had a wonderful time (which belive me, as a family, we do not often get consenus on opinions!). Well done 3HB."
