"Great location, but the hotel is very rundown and we had mice in our room. The staff said they would call pest control, but they never offered other accommodations or compensation for it. We booked the canal view apartment and it's on the top floor, up multiple flights of very steep stairs. It's not for the weak!!! It was also extremely expensive for what we got."

"The hotel is in a fabulous location. The hotel staff were all wonderful. The Manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way to give suggestions on where to go and what to see. We had a room with canal view - great room. My only reservation towards the hotel would be the stairs. They are steep - no elevator. So traveling with suitcases and such was a challenge to go up and down the stairs. This does not make the hotel unique - most have this in their hotels along the canals. If you are okay with that - then there is no where else I'd stay. You're in the middle of everything."

"Great location, staff were helpful and we enjoyed the daily happy hour with wine/beer and snacks. The rooms were a little run down and could use some updating."
