"TUI BLUE Medina Gardens Marrakech – A Holiday I’ll Never Forget
My partner and I stayed at TUI BLUE Medina Gardens from the 11th to the 19th, in room 2110, having booked our holiday through TUI.
Unlike my partner, who had done extensive research and carefully selected the hotel, I honestly had no idea what to expect. I tend to enjoy travelling that way — I like going in with an open mind, giving people and places a chance to surprise me. And somehow, this hotel managed to exceed every expectation I didn’t even know I had.
This has genuinely been my favourite holiday.
From the moment we arrived, everything just felt right. The hotel is perfectly positioned — close to the airport, close to the Medina and within easy reach of everything we wanted to see and do. Yet despite its location, it felt peaceful, calm and incredibly safe. It was the perfect balance between being close to everything and having somewhere tranquil to return to at the end of the day.
The hotel itself is beautiful. Our room was absolutely stunning, and the cleanliness was genuinely second to none. I particularly appreciated the fact that housekeeping came in every day and consistently kept the room immaculate. Our cleaner, Ibtissam, deserves a special mention. Thank you so much for your hard work, your attention to detail and for helping make our stay so comfortable.
The activities were another highlight. There was always something happening, and they were genuinely fun, engaging and inclusive. They kept us entertained throughout our stay and gave us opportunities to meet people, laugh, participate and create memories that we will take home with us.
But, strangely enough, the thing that left me most speechless wasn’t the beautiful hotel, the location, the food or even the activities.
It was the people.
Oh my goodness — TUI BLUE Medina Gardens has something incredibly special in its staff.
From the reception team, including the manager, to the gentleman who worked the 3pm–midnight shift (I am genuinely sorry I didn’t catch his name), the welcome was always warm. Every interaction came with a smile, patience and a genuine willingness to help. Those small moments make a huge difference when you’re away from home.
Then there was breakfast.
The chef who somehow remembered exactly how I liked my omelette — I’m so sorry I didn’t get your name! Unfortunately, I didn’t see him during the final three days of our stay, and I actually noticed his absence. It says a lot when you start recognising the people who make your mornings better.
Samira always served us with a smile, made our mornings a little more brighter.
And Imad — what an absolute star.
Whether working around the activity pool bar or elsewhere, Imad always seemed to have a smile on her face and such a positive energy. From the very first day, Imad remembered my drink — “Sweet Lady” — and somehow that tiny detail made me feel genuinely seen and welcomed.
I also watched Imad work, and I have to say, she is one of the hardest-working people in the hotel. There is something beautiful about watching someone take genuine pride in what they do. Thank you, Imad, for every drink, every smile and every little interaction.
Then there is Ameir — or “Cucurella”, as we came to know him.
What a fantastic individual.
Ameir kept us engaged, entertained and occupied throughout our stay. He was always around when we needed anything and brought such a fantastic energy to the activities. But beyond the activities, we formed a wonderful connection on a human level.
And honestly, that’s what I will remember most.
Sometimes you meet people on holiday and have a pleasant conversation before going your separate ways. And then, every now and again, you meet someone who leaves a genuine impression on you. Ameir was one of those people.
Then there is Michael.
I genuinely don’t think there are enough words to properly explain what kind of person Michael is.
Always smiling. Always positive. Always encouraging.
Michael somehow managed to get us out of our comfort zone, encouraged us to participate and made us feel like we were part of something rather than simply guests staying at a hotel.
And then came the goodbye.
I honestly didn’t expect it to be emotional.
But saying goodbye to Michael was probably one of the most difficult parts of the entire holiday. That says everything.
When you travel, you expect to take photographs home. You expect souvenirs. You expect memories of places you’ve visited.
What you don’t always expect is to leave a piece of your heart with people you’ve only known for a few days.
That’s what happened here.
I truly hope this wasn’t the only time we get to meet Michael and the wonderful staff at TUI BLUE Medina Gardens. I would genuinely love for our paths to cross again.
There are so many other members of staff we would love to mention, but unfortunately it would be impossible to name everyone. What I can say is that every single person we interacted with brought something unique. From the people working behind the scenes to those we saw every day, there was a consistent feeling that the staff genuinely cared about the experience they were creating for their guests.
And I think that is what makes this place so special.
TUI BLUE Medina Gardens, you are genuinely onto something special here.
One of the clearest signs of that came from the other guests we met during our stay. So many people told us they were planning to return soon, while others had already stayed at the hotel before and were talking about coming back again.
That speaks volumes.
People don’t return simply because a hotel is beautiful.
They return because of how a place makes them feel.
And TUI BLUE Medina Gardens made us feel welcomed, safe, relaxed, valued and, most importantly, happy.
We arrived as two people looking forward to a holiday.
We left with incredible memories, new friendships and a feeling that we had experienced something genuinely special.
To everyone at TUI BLUE Medina Gardens — from the reception team, housekeeping, chefs, bar staff, activity team and everyone behind the scenes — thank you.
Thank you for the smiles.
Thank you for the kindness.
Thank you for remembering the little things.
Thank you for making strangers feel like friends.
And thank you for giving us a holiday we will genuinely never forget.
We came to Marrakech for a holiday. We left with memories and people we will carry with us for a very long time.
Until next time. ❤️"
