"Park Hyatt Marrakech
Having stayed at Park Hyatt in Vienna a few years ago and absolutely loving the service, beautiful property and the ‘being taken care of’ service we went and booked Park Hyatt in Marrakech and it delivered highly across everything!
First of the property is absolutely beautiful, it’s an oasis from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, each of the blocks are like their own Riads with beautifully lush grounds and all the little details of decor to feel like you are in a Moroccan palace.
The property has the most incredible views of the Atlas Mountains from some of the rooms and from the main pool and pavilion restraunt and it’s a mesmerising and glorious view in the beautiful Moroccan sun.
We had booked a Park King Suite room which had its own outdoor terrace overlooking the smaller L’Oasis pool, the room was spacious for 2 adults and 8 year old, beautiful bathroom and shower and the minibar is complimentary and topped up daily, we particularly enjoyed the small biscuits left every night!
The property has two main restaurants, one that serves Moroccan cuisine which we dined for dinner (as well as usual breakfast spot) and we had lunch and dinner in the pavilion restaurant which serves more a Mediterranean theme of cuisine. Food and service was immaculate, the F&B staff are some of the kindest, welcoming and lovely people my family have ever met. Great conversationalists and proud Moroccans sharing history and information about Marrakech and other cities which was really interesting.
We really enjoyed the pool area and the lifeguard took great care of my family and especially my daughter, the pool is heated but felt a little cold initially but under the Moroccan sun it was nice. We had good service around the pool by the team, it was a little slow on our last full day and after I informed the team that they might need more support the situation was rectified quickly, probably as it was one of the hotter days we were there so lots of people came to enjoy the pool.
The spa was incredible! Beautiful indoor pool with lovely facilities, very peaceful and relaxing. Both my wife and I had treatments which were incredible, the therapists have the magic touch, my hot stone massage was heaven and one of the best therapies I’ve had in a while. For those with young families the indoor pool is open to children until 11am every day.
The front of house staff are also very kind, welcoming and courteous and helped direct us with questions about the local town very well, very quick to deal with any questions or queries and again great conversationalist especially about the crazy storms that happened overnight while staying there, apparently the worst lighting and thunder in 16 years. You wouldn’t have thought it in the morning as the resort was gleaming under the morning sun.
The door staff are also great, helpful and attentive. I don’t think we came across anyone who wasn’t warm or welcoming!
We had an incredible stay, this is a luxury property and it certainly lived up to my expectations of how luxury should be done with warm Moroccan hospitality, you felt like family rather than just a guest."
