"What a lovely hotel! Hotel Rosa Salva was my favorite hotel out of all the places we stayed around Europe. It was closely located to San Marco (~3 min. walk through the grand arch way into Piazza San Marco) as well as the Rialto bridge (~5 min. walk). Although the hotel doesn't offer a complimentary breakfast, the food and drinks in the mini bar were free and it was home to the Rosa Salva bakery, one of the best pasticcerias in Venice.
We stayed in the annex building, which was very modern. Our room was huge, and the bathroom was the best part. The shower was the biggest one we had in our entire trip. In fact, it was a 2 person shower with 2 shower heads on opposite ends. The toiletries in the bathroom were pretty minimal, however. They had hand soap and a shampoo/shower gel combo. Make sure you bring your own conditioner and body lotion if you need them.
The front desk receptionists have been consistently friendly, and they are always ready and willing to help you navigate the streets of Venice. They were also very helpful in coordinating private transfers to/from the train station and airport for us. We also requested porter service to help with our large pieces of luggage, which was honestly worth the splurge. I couldn't imagine pushing our giant luggage over steps in addition to the 2 other hand carries we had."
