Hotel Ariston

"We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Ariston. Our room was clean and comfortable and spacious. Hotel is a short walk to Termini station, making it easy to get to major attractions in Rome. We walked to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps from the hotel. The hustle and bustle of the city is very evident in the vicinity of the hotel; however, we never felt unsafe. The buffet breakfast had many offerings; we enjoyed having it available to us before our full days of walking around Rome. Overall, service was good."

"This hotel was absolutely perfect for a weekend break, breakfast was ok, scrabbled eggs, toast & bacon was ok, a wide choice of a Continental style breakfast with sliced salami and other meats! Lots of delicious looking pastries & croissants .. Showers were powerful but lots of scale in the shower area which I think doesn’t look nice. Good hairdryer, shampoo, body lotion & shower gel are provided and are quite nice. Staff super helpful & pleasant to speak to."

"If there’s a word between ok and good, this hotel is exactly that. Rooms: decently clean but are older and look worn out. Walls and floors are dirty which can easily be cleaned with a wipe down. Fixtures are cracked. Only 1 key allowed per room which is extremely inconvenient. This “policy” needs to change. There is almost no bathroom shelving, one of ours was completely crooked and items would just slide off. With 4 people in a room, some additional shelving would have been helpful. This is a simple fix. Air conditioning: controlled by the front desk and only has two options: on or off. Not sure how cool the rooms would be in the middle of summer. Wifi: says all rooms have wifi but even with 2 bars of wifi, we never once had it over a 4 day stay. Breakfast: was not included despite what TripAdvisor says. It is overpriced for what it is and is a 3 star at best. If you need a quick nights stay by the train station this works but not great for a multi day stay."
