Hotel De la Ville

"A nice stylish hotel near the train station with very comfortable beds for two. The superior rooms are gorgeous and have a nice balcony where one can do yoga and a dog can accompany you. The breakfast spread is delicious and rich. If you wish the staff will pop open a bubbly. You are set for the day"

" This appeared to be a lovely, plush and quiet boutique hotel and we never expected the horrendous experience that awaited us.. After a few tiring days in San Marino we drove to Riccione hoping to enjoy the remainder of our stay. The residents’ parking area was very limited and had to be booked in advance. Since we had not been aware of this inconvenience we had to pay and park in a public parking area a small distance away. So if you do not have reserved parking, remember to unload your luggage before you go to park your car! The hotel lobby, stairways and pool area are lovely but the rooms and toilet are very small and cramped. We did not like the location, ambience and food of the breakfast room. On our third and final night we had an awful experience... right from midnight when we went to bed until 9 a.m. next morning there were terrible loud noises from the room exactly above us. Furniture being moved, things being dragged across and dropped on the floor, loud voices, loud footsteps...! We called reception several times to complain but nothing was done at all! Around 6 a.m. my husband finally went downstairs and complained to the member of staff at the reception but his reply was incredible and shocking! He informed my husband that there was a German crew doing a photo shoot in that particular room... and since they were Germans there was nothing he could do to interfere! The noise continued even after this and around 8 a.m. my husband went down and spoke to another member of staff and informed him that we would not be paying for the night’s stay as we had not slept a wink and since this was not a photo studio but a hotel, the residents of the room upstairs should be responsible for paying the bill. No one apologised, no one had one kind word to say... they were only afraid of the Germans ! Later after breakfast we spoke to the female manager who insisted that we should pay the full bill and that Booking.com would refund the last night back to us. I did not believe this story and in fact when we called Booking.com they told us that the hotel should refund the money back to us. We went to speak to the manager and there was a huge argument and after a lot of shouting and people staring, she realised that we could not be conned and was forced to refund the last night immediately. She had hoped that we would not check with Booking.com and had hoped to get away with making us pay for sleeping in that hotel... when sleeping was the last thing that had been possible! Beware of this hotel... it appears to be quiet and secluded but it is totally the opposite. You can hear the trains passing on the railway track opposite and it’s too far from the beach. It would be wiser to choose something on the seafront. "

"Stayed here as part of our MotoGP weekend, great location near to bars and restaurants. Hotel is is a great design but 4 star and wanting a little love spent on it it some areas. Staff were great very attentive, pool looked inviting although we didn't have time to try. Breakfast was great large choice and good quality. "
