Sandblu Resort

"Before I begin the actual review, I want to THANK Sandblu for the lovely holiday/Christmas gift they sent! Such a nice surprise and affirmation of their hospitality, integrity, and attention to detail. Lovely! Review: My husband, my parents (72 & 80), my best friend and her husband stayed at Sandblu for my 50th birthday (end of September through the first week of October). Before we even arrived, the entire time I was planning the trip, Corina and the staff were responsive, incredibly helpful, and kind. They helped me plan my entire stay! By the time we arrived, we all felt like we knew them! We scheduled a car to pick us up from the airport and when we arrived, they were waiting. Once we arrived at the hotel, it was nothing but luxury and TOP NOTCH service! I say this as someone that travels A LOT. Michelle greeted us at the gate with a refreshing drink and warm towel. We stayed in the Oniro and my parents stayed in the Etherio. My best friend stayed in a "regular" room-- all were amazing! There was sooooo much space in the Oniro! It's a little pricey, but if you want an AMAZING experience, every amenity and toiletry item you can think of, and breathtaking views, do NOT hesitate! There were slippers, flip flops, high quality robes, soaps, lotions, shaving kits, shoeshine kits--they leave NO stone unturned! Getting around the property: I need to leave a SPECIAL thank you to the "buggy" drivers! One of the reasons I selected this property was because of my parents. They are independent seniors, but I was concerned about all of the walking/steep hills. The "buggy" staff made my parents feel SO special and cared for! I never had to worry one minute if they were taken care of. One driver, whose name I cannot recall sadly, was amazing! He and my mom became "besties" over the week (laugh). He was SO very kind. He will always have a special place in our hearts. Location: If this is your first time going to Greece, there will be A LOT of debate about where to stay. Some will tell you that you MUST stay on the Caldera side for the views, but in my experience, there is no bad "view" in Santorini! And CERTAINLY, no bad views from Sandblu. Sandblu is also in walking distance from the beach/ beach bars etc. where there are shops and restaurants. It's a great area for walking, biking, shopping, eating etc. If you need to go further and want to explore, Sandblu offers convenient car service (at a cost) and/or you can arrange an Uber. The spa: Fabulous!! My best friend and I spent an afternoon at the spa. I've been to a million spas and Sandblu's spa measures up! It is state of the art. Be sure to take your bathing suit as well because there is a heated indoor pool! Lovely! Dining/Breakfast: Sandblu provides a very nice spread for breakfast. Fresh squeezed OJ and fresh honeycomb. We celebrated my birthday dinner on property at Nectar. Michelle provided us with an AMAZING private dining experience and Adonis went above and beyond! Just fabulous! We also ate at Blu one evening and that was LOVELY. The VIEWS. AMAZING. Birthday yacht cruise: Arranged by Corina aboard the Serenity. Fabulous! Definitely ask for them. This is a MUST if you enjoy boating, sunset cruises, and just being out on the water taking in the island from a different perspective. The food on our sunset cruise was also amazing--prepared by the captain, no less. It was actually one of the best lunches we had in Santorini--oddly enough. If you get a chance, go to the Open-Air Cinema! It's really cool. Nice jazz vibe. Note/helpful tips: There are no ironing boards in the rooms. This is by way of a law on the island-- not Sandblu. If you want/need your clothes ironed, simply WhatsApp your concierge or the front desk and they will send someone up to get your items. I believe it was 2 items, per person, per day. They were incredibly fast in case you forget to plan ahead. They always returned my clothes within an hour. The car service that Sandblu provides is not 24 hours; it stops at midnight, I think. So, if you are out after that, you will need to call an Uber. Sandblu is a 7-star hotel. Absolutely WONDERFUL staff and experience. They made my birthday incredibly memorable, and I will never forget them for that! Next time we go to Santorini, I will absolutely be staying at Sandblu."

The family-friendly touches, like the kids club (our son adored it!), children’s robes, and the thoughtful pool layout. The spa and wellness areas, beautifully designed and genuinely relaxing. And most of all, the people — whose genuine care and authenticity made the experience unforgettable. Sandblu captures the essence of great hospitality — not just luxury, but heart. "The Staff is being for us one of the best surprises of our stay. They are attentive, welcoming, polite and do everything to make you feel comfortable, attended to. The Staff really spoiled us a lot, we are delighted with the team. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Anastasia with all affection. The reception staff is always very responsive, welcomes us with smiles, kindness, in short, they are too attentive. 🤗 The food is wonderful, everything is always done with a lot of love and care. At Stari Bakery we find amazing typical snacks and sweets and coffees always well made, all served with great attention and affection. The Plateia Restaurant has a wonderful team, whether for breakfast or lunch we eat delicious meals and always welcomed with care and dedication. At the Néctar restaurant we always find amazing food and a friendly and helpful staff. The cleaning team is dedicated, the cleanliness of the Resort is impeccable, our room was always impeccable, fragrant, welcoming. The cleaning girls are affectionate and attentive. The structure of the Resort is very complete, it really offers more than most of the five stars we've been to. We are really enjoying every moment here, our honeymoon is being perfect, we are in love with Sandblu and his team. We want to thank you for the surprise to celebrate our honeymoon, it was very affectionate of you We thank all of you for all the affection, pampering, attention and respect you are giving us.
