"This is long, I took my time to write this review in depth.
Starting off with one of the most thought topics, The weather - Our visit was the last week of October and other than two slightly cloudy days (it was still warm) the weather was perfect. Mid 20’s all week which was ideal having small children it was hot enough to enjoy bikinis and sunbathing but not too hot for the children to become fussy and uncomfortable.
The hotel - It was amazing, the aesthetic was beautiful, facilities were well ran and clean. The rooms were stunning and well maintained, the mini fridges apparently get stocked every two days but ours wasn’t; I imagine it being because we often popped out to the shops to get a variety of different drinks and snacks and milk for the children so there was no room for restock. We stayed in an executive family suite which was more than spacious and exactly as imaged. The balcony size was fantastic and had a really nice view!! The resort is large and some of the bigger/family rooms are a walk from the main reception but that wasn’t an issue as the staff drive you and your cases to and from in a golf buggy style vehicle when you arrive and depart. Walking up to the pools/bars/hotel facilities is literally minutes.
The resort - It was so much bigger than expected. It’s not the typical tall multi story style, but equally as big. There’s rooms all around the resort as mentioned above some rooms are completely detached in their own little blocks but all as beautiful as eachother. To walk around the resort is beautiful, with sea views from almost every direction to palm trees and gorgeous scenery, at evening there’s lighting throughout all routes.
There’s multiple pools, the main large pool which has the pool bar, just next to is a much much smaller shaded pool, we called it the baby pool. A little walk over is a smaller size pool that’s the main, it wasn’t named the kids pool but evidently had the most children there, also beside that is the mini splash park which has great little slides and fountains followed by 3 bigger slides further back, also very popular with the children. Around this area was the kids club and a park which was a nice touch for keeping kiddies entertained when not wanting to swim aswell as I nice terraced area that had giant chess and a few other activities down there. The beach was a couple minutes walk wish was beautiful, lots of sun beds and lovely little shades at no cost. The beach is very small fine pebbled but surprisingly soft, easy for kids that don’t like wet sand or getting mucky but has showers and changing booths also.
Food and drink- There was so much variety that no one would go without. The main food restaurant was great, the selection of breakfast was a nice surprise, everything from sausage eggs and bacon to croissants and pastries, fresh bread daily and lots of cereal selection. We never ate lunch here as the snack bar was easier through the day as it was right next to the pool. Tea was equally pleasing with lots of variety again. Fresh pizzas constantly coming out and broad range of meats, salads, and everything you could think of at an all inclusive. Very tasty foods and well ran. The snack bar was quick and seamless, again with fresh pizzas, hotdogs and Gyros. Aswell as chips, nuggets, kids go to food etc. again, fresh fruit and salad all day also. The patisserie was a favourite for our family serving fresh crepes, waffles, icecream and mini desserts all day through to late at night. The beach restaurant was lovely also, good little selection of foods. We didn’t get round to trying the Asian restaurant or the sushi bar however the Venus burger restaurant was one of the best nights we had. The appetisers are served without ordering and bring the whole selection. The burger selection was amazing and tasted just as good and the cheesecakes were huge!! 10/10!!
The staff - There’s not one single fault I can give about the staff here, I had a small accident/injury of my first day and the way they handled it was amazing. The lifeguard assisted with my fist aid and recommended what I should do afterwards and consistently checked on me throughout the week. The reception staff were attentive and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. They made the check in and out so easy that I debated if we had even done it properly. The bar/food staff were always friendly and interactive with the children, service was always with a smile and talkative.
The animations team and entertainment- I don’t even know where to begin, they were full of life regardless of end of season, the shows were always entertaining and engrossing. Everything was in-house so all of the shows were done by the whole team, no external entertainers which gave it that family vibe that you looked forward to seeing them on an evening. Although my kids don’t personally do kids club they always do mini disco and LOVE it! The staff are so nurturing and attentive to the children making them all involved and always full of positivity and compliments to the kids. Fantastic team. Also, daily activities like pool Zumba, volleyball etc but the staff are not pushy which is a nice change.
Surroundings - there was a little road of shops a 2 minute walk out of the hotel which had a pharmacy, supermarkets, little cafes, souvenir shops etc. It was a pleasant trip out to buy trinkets or any essentials you might have forgotten or need of the hotel shop didn’t have what you were looking for.
Extra recommendations- we booked a private transfer and we heard the jet 2 one takes over 2 hours, we got there in 50 minutes with private. Plan a day trip to Lindos, the town is incredible and not a long drive from the hotel, equally the hotel offers boat trips but takes longer.
Overall summary - It has been one of our favourite places to stay so far and as a family we have been to many places. It’s somewhere we would definitely return, we have loved every second!!"
