The Ixian Grand And All Suites

"This was our 2nd trip to this lovely Hotel. Setting/location is amazing. So close to Rhodes old town and no fuss over sunbeds. We made some truly great friends and this was a holiday we didn’t want to end. Ixian Grand-we will be back!❤️"

"The Ixian could be so much better, but a number of things let it down, but the staff are amazing and couldn't be more pleasant. As an all-inculsive plus this sadly did not seem it when it came to branded drinks as the only branded spirit we saw was supposedly Gordon's gin, and as a gin drinker and non-liker of Gordon's, there was no way it was legit. A number of the sunbed tables were broken with nails sticking up, and I cut myself on one, so I was constantly checking. The main bar in the evening is double-sided, but only one side served drinks and there are cues of people most nights waiting to be served. Our garden view room was fine and cleaned well every day, but the garden view was a derelict piece of land. The Food was very good with plenty of choices and the staff work really hard. As a rating compared to other hotels we have stayed in we could not agree that its a 4 star plus which is very sad, and we would say its a 3 star plus. We did have a nice holiday, and as I said, the staff were excellent, which made up for things."

"We stayed here from 3 to 10 October in room 464. As we had a superior room, we had access to the Alazonia, Greek, Japanese and dine around a la carte restaurants and only had breakfast once in the buffet restaurant so cannot judge that properly. However, the a la carte restaurants were absolutely superb in terms of food quality (fine dining), service and comfort. Sotiris and his team in the Alazonia did an amazing job. The service throughout the hotel was excellent, as was the choice of drinks, and spirits were branded and definitely not watered down. The evening entertainment wasn’t great but we don’t go for that. Our premium room was a decent size and very comfortable, with a shared swim up pool and a decent sized, relatively private terrace. The water at this time of year was unfortunately too cold to swim in for our liking and could have done with a little heating. The room furniture was a little “tired”, the bathroom was small and the room strangely and annoyingly had no mirror. There were always plenty of sun beds by the main pool, either on the grass or the beach, and the bar service to the sunbeds via QR code was impressively fast and efficient. The ”quiet“pool was normally busy, particularly the beds in the sun. The hotel is around a twenty minute walk into either Ixia or Iyalissos, with a taxi into Rhodes Town costing between 15 and 18 Euros or 4.95 Euros on the bookable shuttle bus. There are shops, bars and a decent supermarket a few minutes’ walk away. Taxi to and from the airport is 23-25 Euros each way. The free late checkout to which our room entitled us was very welcome in view of our late evening flight home. I would not hesitate to return to the Ixian Grand and highly recommend it."
