"On arrival to Harmony Crest, after a whole day of travelling, we had a cold greeting, telling us to check in using a QR code and then sent on our way to try and find our room ourselves. The room was very modern and on the outside, looked beautiful...until you looked closer. Our main issue was that we had spent hundreds extra on a swim-up room, which from the photos online, showed our exact room bathed in sunlight, but we quickly found out that our room didnt get an inch of sun all day. It would have been bearable but the pool was freezing cold- so cold it was uncomfortable. We kindly enquired about switching rooms, as we paid a lot of money for something we were unable to use, and the man on reception told us he would look into it for us. However, we had to chase this up twice, as no one had told us the outcome, and when we asked him again, he rolled his eyes at us and was extremely unhelpful. That aside, the shower in our room was also broken- one second it was freezing cold and the next, it was scalding hot. We had an ant infestation in our room. And the staff made us feel like everything we asked was always too much bother. After we had requested our room change, the demenour quickly change among us and the staff, and they were not willing to help us much and even the cleaners were doing a half-arsed job with our room. Multiple times we had to enquire about getting more toilet roll for the room, as the cleaners weren't leaving us any. Obviously, you are unable to flush the toilet paper in Greece, which isnt a problem. However, there is a tiny bin in the room for you to put it, which got filled up almost instantly! To top it off, the cleaners also missed changing the bin a couple of times! The towels were absolutely disgusting, with stains all over them!
Now...the food. I would disagree with the reviews stating it is inedible, but it was quite bad that we chose to eat in Kos town multiple times during the week. There is an extemely limited selection on offer, and about 1/4 of the food is actually labelled...an allergens worst nightmare! Simple things such as egg fried rice (which it is was labelled as) had prawns in! The food was pretty tasteless and not a very enjoyable experience. I will say the man who cooked the pizza's was very nice- he said hello every morning and was one of the only staff members to actually greet us and smile. The young girl at the pool/drinks bar was also lovely and a credit to the hotel.
The hotel is also very boring. There is no entertainment and the pool closes at 6pm, so after that, there isnt much to do! There is also no snack bar etc which i would also expect usually from an all inclusive.
Now, the positives. It is very close to Kos town, around a 10 minute bus ride. The pool area is nice and there is never a sunbed war in the morning!
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. We were unable to shower the whole week, the staff were rude and unwelcoming, the cleaning was shocking and the food was medicore. I would suggest saving your money and instead, staying at Akti Palace in Kardamena, Kos, which was a lot nicer."
