Silva Beach

"The positives - the majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, bathroom a bit dated but fine overall. Shower was powerful and hot! Bed was very comfortable and we had a lovely balcony. Room was cleaned and restocked with toilet paper and towels every day. We easily got a sun bed whenever we wanted one, at whatever time of day, and both pools were very clean. The food was excellent, lots of different choices every day and we were very happy. The layout of the hotel in the village feel is wonderful. We had a couples massage at the spa which was fabulous and would highly recommend. Easy location to walk into the nightlife and to water sports activities down on the beach; we went parasailing! Short walking distance into beautiful Koutouloufari. The negatives - we were on the far right side of the hotel, right next to the bar and entertainment. Loud, loud, loud until 11pm every night. We were then woken up every morning, without fail, by trucks and banging between 6.30-7.30am due to being above what I assume is the delivery entrance for the hotel. It felt like my sleep hours were dictated due to the noise! I bought ear plugs in the end which helped. If I returned, I would know to request a room away from the bar and on the left hand side of the hotel!! I would say the pros outweigh the cons and probably would return. Not a criticism of the hotel, obviously, but the average customer seems to be aged 55+.. not much of a younger crowd, and the veterans love to get their set places at the bar of an evening.. "Had a great meal at the Italian restaurant within the complex . The food was very nice and lovely to be served by happy staff. We were absolutely stuffed after the started for two but did manage to eat most of our delicious pizza. The wine was flowing and the ambiance was perfect . Thank you so much"

"Yet again a great experience at the Silva Beach Hotel. Lovely to see lots of returning guests too. The Hotel is being refurbished, so we look forward to seeing it when complete. The rooms are clean and well maintained by the staff. The pools are good and usually at this time of year there are sunbeds available. The food has always been good but this year was better than previous. If I had to criticise, the animation team could be better, one guy didn't do much, the other worked hard."
