"Where to begin? First of all, I like to write detailed reviews because that’s exactly what I look for when booking a holiday myself, so here goes!
Prior to our arrival, I was in contact with Vangelis via email regarding a few requests. He was always very prompt in replying and made sure everything I asked for was arranged. We were arriving late and needed milk in the fridge for our toddler, and he ensured it was there waiting for us. Excellent customer service from the start.
The Room
We stayed in a lovely, spacious two-bedroom apartment with a private pool. Although the pool was slightly overlooked, it was absolutely stunning and both myself and the children thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our apartment (501) was in the perfect location, right next to the children’s pools. The master bedroom was huge, with a very comfortable bed, and the apartment felt spacious throughout. I had read some reviews mentioning that the entertainment could be noisy, but we were only around 50 metres away and, once the doors were closed, we couldn’t hear a thing.
There were a few minor things that could be improved. For example, there was nowhere to hang wet towels on the patio, some of the finishing around the windows looked a little untidy, and the bathroom door made a loud cracking sound when opening and closing. However, these were very small issues and certainly didn’t affect our stay.
The air conditioning worked perfectly, the showers were great, and having a kettle in the room was appreciated. The apartment consisted of a living room with two beds, one large double bedroom, and another bedroom with 2 single beds. One thing we particularly loved was that the private pool was actually warm!
I am aware there is another block that has not yet been refurbished, so experiences there may differ.
Housekeeping
Our main cleaner, Heidi, was absolutely lovely. She was friendly, hardworking, and cleaned our room every day to a high standard.
We had a small mishap when our little boy’s teddy accidentally disappeared with the towels during a room clean. Heidi was genuinely upset and very apologetic, although we didn’t blame her at all as it was a small teddy and easily done. Vangelis, who I mentioned earlier, went above and beyond to track it down and return it to us, for which we were incredibly grateful.
Pool Areas (All pools perfect temperature)
All of the pool areas were lovely, but we spent most of our time at the lower pool near reception. We found it quieter and more relaxing, and the pool area itself was beautiful with lovely flowers surrounding it.
Our bar lady, Elina (I hope I’ve spelt that correctly), was incredibly friendly and genuinely a beautiful soul. We always looked forward to seeing her.
We never struggled to find a sunbed, even during busier periods. We also spent time at the pool with the slides and had no issues there either. If sunbeds were running low, the lifeguard would bring more out.
Personally, I think a 10am pool opening time is a little late, but that’s only a minor point. One thing I would advise is to be careful around the pools, as the tiles can become extremely slippery. All of the pools were clean and clearly well maintained.
The upper pool near the kids’ club had a lively atmosphere, and my son especially enjoyed taking part in the water polo.
Entertainment
We really enjoyed the entertainment. It isn’t a resort with huge stage productions every night, but Rico and Vale made it incredibly enjoyable. The children absolutely adored them, and they were fantastic at involving everyone.
Rico in particular is hilarious and brilliant with the children. My husband and son were especially fond of him.
There is also a small play area at the kids’ club which remains open in the evenings, along with a ping pong table. A pool table and a few additional activities for older children and teenagers would be a welcome addition, as my teenager did become a little bored at times.
Food and Drink
Honestly, this was the best food I have ever had at an all-inclusive resort.
We ate out a couple of times during our stay but still preferred the food at the hotel. The variety was incredible.
Breakfast included everything from a full English to pancakes, cheeses, pastries, and even smoked salmon one morning. There were also cookies, brownies, and doughnuts, which my children were delighted with.
For lunch, we often ate by the pool where there were gyros, burgers, hot dogs, chips, nuggets, and more.
The evening meals were exceptional, with an enormous amount of choice every night. There were themed evenings, including a Chinese night, and there was always carbonara and spaghetti Bolognese available for my fussy daughter.
Even the salads, which I don’t normally choose on holiday, were absolutely delicious.
Food was constantly being replenished, and we never saw trays left empty for long. A few dishes occasionally didn’t have labels, which could be improved, but overall the dining experience was excellent.
Soft drinks were self-service, which we liked. The cocktails were what you would typically expect from an all-inclusive resort, but we still enjoyed them. The only thing I would have liked to see included was iced coffee, as these were an additional charge.
Staff
Around 90% of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. There were a few who seemed a little fed up at times, but I wouldn’t describe anyone as rude.
Location
There are shops and restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. The shop next door was particularly useful, offering plenty of essentials without being overpriced.
We hired a car during our stay. We had heard mixed reviews about the hotel’s beach, so instead we used the car to visit several recommended beaches in the area.
Overall
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would like to thank Vangelis and the team for helping make it such a memorable stay. The spacious accommodation, fantastic food, lovely pool areas, friendly staff, and excellent service all contributed to a wonderful family holiday.
Thank you for accommodating us – we had a fantastic time."
