First of all the transfer:
We landed at 11 oclock and found the transfer rep , he guided us to our coach on which we sat on for an HOUR and waited for the rest of the people to get on. Then it proceeded to drive us to the hotel which took 2 and a half more hours!!
The streets are so narrow we nearly crashed 3 times on the way there! Didn’t get in the hotel until 2:30. One reception staff , checking in 30 people. Eventually we checked in! 3am now , we got told by reception staff that we would be taken to our room after he checked everyone in as it was in the middle of nowhere… we got fed up of waiting so we found it ourselves eventually! In the room for 3:30 , not a single bottle of water or a sandwich to welcome us. You can’t drink the tap water so we ended up boiling a kettle and waiting for the water to cool down just so we didn’t die from dehydration! Terrible start already…
Woke up in the morning to take a shower and there was no hot water. Never got fixed at all during our stay, had to wash in the sink…
The food:
Breakfast : stone cold , inedible, cocktail sausages, mushrooms , cold beans , fried eggs and tomatoes. Few continental bits but no thank you.
Dinner and tea : stone cold , inedible, about 4 choices , same bolognaise every dinner and tea , same tomato sauce , they switched between pasta and spaghetti and they switch between stone cold roast potatoes and stale chips.
There was some chicken and pork on the bone once that tasted like my old flip flop.
All covered in flies constantly, can’t get rid.
You’ll end up eating at the Taverna , Beach bar or the food van up the road ( which are the only things that are around apart from 2 shops) which was very tasty food if you don’t mind having 17 wasps at a time flying into your food!!
No entertainment whatsoever apart from the staff playing their own music of an iPad so we all have to listen to whatever they like.
Pool bar is tiny but quite nice again with wasps flying into your drinks constantly which are watered down a lot anyway!
Room was quite nice which is a shame because everything else let it down!
Now the horror part for us was mosquitoes, the hotel is right next to a Lake so they breed there like crazy! Every night around 8pm just as the sun sets they come out and attack like crazy and if you get caught off guard like we did, you end up with 150 bites all over your arms and legs! It’s absolutely awful!!
Pool is salt water not sure why…
On check out the reception staff didn’t care at all how our stay was , they just asked “oh you’re checking out? Give us the keys then , cool”
Not a care in the world
Spent the last day in reception hiding from wasps and mosquitoes because we was fed up! Had to check out at 11 and wait 7.5 hours for our transfer which again took 2.5 hours to get us back to the airport and we nearly missed our flight!
All in all terrible experience and we are so glad we only stayed 4 days (which cost £1500 by the way)
Spend your money elsewhere, read the reviews from the British experiences! We can’t all be wrong!
