"Overall hotel is good, food is good and it’s very close to the beach for some really nice walks along the coastline. Staff were mostly great and helpful apart from one person who worked the afternoon pool bar, they were unfriendly and made bad drinks, unfortunately the pool bar is the only one open during the day so they just put people off getting drinks and effectively ruined the all inclusive experience. The people working the bar after were fantastic, hotel staff were great just unfortunate that one person had such a negative effect on our trip."

"We don’t often leave reviews, but we felt it was worth sharing our experience. We really hope management take the time to read the feedback and consider making some improvements ahead of next season, as this hotel has so much potential. We are fortunate enough to visit Greece regularly and often stay in all-inclusive accommodation, so we appreciate that every hotel is different and that expectations need to be realistic. The areas for improvement. Food and drinks Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment of our stay. We wondered whether the quality and choice may have been affected by it being towards the end of the season, but the food was often cold, repetitive and limited in variety. We found ourselves eating out quite regularly as we struggled at the hotel. This meant additional expense that we hadn’t anticipated, having booked an all-inclusive holiday. We feel that the food and drinks offering would benefit from a thorough review before next season, particularly in terms of quality, variety and consistency. With some improvements in this area, the overall guest experience could be much better. Staff and service Our experience with staff was mixed. Sadly, some interactions left us feeling less welcome than we would have hoped, although there were some lovely exceptions. The member of staff working at the pool bar during the day could come across as quite abrupt. On our first day, he rolled his eyes and tutted at us, and even commented on the drinks menu not being put back facing the correct way after we read it. It wasn’t the best first impression, and we tended to avoid the bar so much when he was working after that. We also had an uncomfortable experience with the barman at reception, who refused to provide bottles of water for our room. We had been left three small bottles on arrival, but these were not replenished during our stay, so we ended up buying water from the local supermarket. We appreciate that policies may vary between hotels, but clearer communication and a more welcoming approach would have made a difference. On a much more positive note, Besi at the outside pool bar in the late afternoons and evenings was brilliant. Several members of the housekeeping team were also lovely, always smiling and saying good morning, as was one younger gentleman clearing tables during the breakfast service who was always kind and polite. These small gestures really do make a difference to the holiday experience. Room maintenance Our two-bedroom suite was ideal for our family, particularly as we were travelling with a teenager. It was spacious, the balcony was a great size, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. The only slight niggle we would comment on was the shower, which fluctuated between scalding hot and freezing cold, however it wasn’t a major issue and is likely something that is beyond the hotel’s control. The positives The hotel itself has a lot going for it, and the location is excellent. With the beach and Acharavi town nearby, there is plenty to explore, including shops, restaurants and entertainment for those who want it. Roda is a lovely walk along the coastline, taking around 30-40 minutes having a steady stroll and well worth a visit during the day. The sunsets every day here on the beach are just beautiful. We also appreciated the space and comfort of our suite. The limited entertainment at the hotel wasn’t an issue for us personally, as we don’t feel the need for a packed programme while on holiday. Overall, the setting, location and accommodation provide a great foundation for what could be a really lovely holiday experience. Would we return? We would certainly consider returning if some of the issues we experienced were addressed. We genuinely feel this hotel has the potential to offer a much better all-inclusive experience, particularly with improvements to the food and drinks and a greater focus on friendly, welcoming service. We hope this feedback is taken in the constructive spirit intended, and that some positive changes can be made ahead of next season. It would be lovely to see the hotel build on its strengths and provide guests with the experience its location and facilities deserve."

"Arrived late at night, after 10:00pm. Check in was quick and ok, pleasant staff. Room is small with very little hanging space and few shelves but no drawers. Informed on arrival restaurant was closed but sandwiches were in our room. Small in room fridge with two bread rolls containing very small piece of ham and slice of processed cheese along with two small bottles of water, nothing else in a so called all inclusive hotel. Water was never replenished the whole time we were there and no mini bar. Bars serve drinks for all inclusive up until 11:00pm with limited menu, only a few cocktails, after 11:00pm have to pay for all drinks. Was informed by barman at the pool bar, when my wife asked for a bottle of water that it is not included, in an “all inclusive”, and she would have to pay for it, beggars belief. She did not ask the price as she was stunned. Staff in bars and restaurants are mostly unpleasant, uninterested and need personality implants, staff in reception.we’re always polite and pleasant. The restaurant staff remind me of Stepford wives, they all walk around in a permanent trance, any form of greeting and smiles are in short supply and constantly on their phones. The man on the pool bar is particularly unpleasant and at times downright rude. Entertainment is limited and the little that we have seen, not impressed, Good points, pool area is very nice and plenty of comfortable sun beds. Short walk to shingle beach and town with plenty of reasonably good restaurants, which is good as despite being all inclusive we have had to eat out every night to avoid malnutrition, at considerable expense, as food in restaurant can only be described as grim. If someone ever mentions mustard chicken to me in the future I will not be responsible for my actions as it has been on lunch and dinner menu, in one form or another almost every day. We have no proof but we along with several other guests strongly suspect that some uneaten food from lunchtime did a back to the future and made another appearance at dinner in a slightly disguised form. We did always manage to eat something at breakfast despite the food being on supposedly hot plates always stone cold along with the actual dinner plates. Continual queue for one toaster, frequently no cups for tea and coffee machines, and staff who showed no interest whatsoever in replenishing them. Sixth morning, breakfast no juice and when asked why, informed that machine was not working, I could see that for myself, my wife then went for a cup of tea, no black teabags. Informed that they had run out. Suspicious now that as the hotel closes in ten days for the season that they are just using up whatever is left in their stores. They really do need to up their game before reopening in the next season. There is no circumstance where this hotel can be considered as four star, being very generous I would give it a very low three. Would I return. Never!!!"
