"There are so many wonderful things to say about this hotel.
Having stayed in three types of rooms on our stay, we can say they are all wonderful!
The best in our opinion is the hot tub rooms which have been newly renovated, are extremely private and have the new types of beds with the nice toppers. Highly recommend!!
The pros:
The wonderful location to two little villages but private and secluded from every day life
The beach location and lift to the beach
The beach itself , warm and lovely
The ala carte restaurants
The entertainment
The bar environment in all four locations: Everyone brought the vibes no matter how busy they were!
The buffet Staff: So amazing and lovely, I wish I could have brought those amazing women home with me ( The spinach egg bakes were amazing!)
The buffet cold food was great with good selections
The pool area ...easy and chill on one side, party on the other..something for everyone. The DJ music is from 1-6. It is not that loud ( room number 2 was facing the pool areas with a shared private pool) and it was totally fine with the doors closed.
The indoor pool and spa area were lovely ( steam room was being fixed while we were there so can not comment) the pool, the spa team and vibe is wonderful. I can not comment on the Gym because we are not those folks but we did see the famous Maria and she really is completely committed to fitness and would recommend time with her if that is your thing.
The not so pros:
There is no denying that putting two twin beds together does nothing for waking up refreshed as there is a risk of waking up in the dreaded crack. The beds are very comfy either way! Some people love the flexibility, some people ( us) do not, hence our love of the newly renovated rooms. However, do ask for a topper as they offer them and really help!
The hot food at the buffet needs to be reviewed. The heaters just do not keep things hot and when it is rainy or cold out, the last thing you want is a cold piece of meat. A simple update to the heatings systems could get this in check asap
Not having a cashpoint onsite: It is needed to tip staff, book taxis etc. Highly recommend this or a cash back service from the front desk. It would go a long way for those of us who forget to top up on cash when out.
Smoking : Look no one is the boss of anyone, we get that. But people were allowed to smoke and vape in the outside dining areas which is not our thing. It did ruin it for us but it just meant, less time at the a la carte and more time with the amazing bar staff!
Lastly, the comments about some of the people that go: We did not go in high season so we can not say what this place is like when it is super busy. It was somewhat busy some of the time, and there were some guests that were less than vibes. They were loud, smoked everywhere and were super rude to the cats and the staff. We did not love them, lots of people did not love them. But they were easy-ish enough to avoid...Maybe this could be something the hotel looks into. Maybe no more than 6 people from one group allowed to stay at one time. But again, it is a business and we get that so maybe just do what we did and keep on walking. The rest of the guests were lovely and amazing!

The people. The people who work here are beyond incredible and head office should take note of end of season bonuses: These guys all deserve one!

As with any place, some people have lots of opinions. We left crying with only love in our hearts and more lovely drinks and food in our bellys. We have only been home 3 days and our trip feels like a fever dream. We highly recommend!

Note: Avoid Tiki Bar Blu in the nearby town ...what should be the best Tiki bar ever makes you feel like you are invisible and like you are the biggest problem. No service with five dudes standing around you while you are sitting outside doing nada while the the guys clearing are doing everything and the bar staff and everyone inside are trying their damndest. Even the boss saw the staff basically igorning the customers and talking physically around us at one point and did nothing. Hilariously, a group of five very wealthy looking women came, had one drink and left because of the service, no one said goodbye to them, nothing. Talk about setting money on fire, we would have stayed for ages as the drinks are great and the vibe is amazing. Too bad for the male staff members 'working' outside!"
