"I stayed here last week. Booked classic room, asked before hand for a top floor room and a bathrobe. Received a return email and it said the top floor room and bathrobe would be provided. Upon check in receiption said no, could not give me top floor or robe. When I said I was emailed that it would be provided, reception did not believe me. Only when I produced the emal did she agree. Upon entering the room( on first floor) I discovered 2 men in the room working on the TV, not what you want when you arrive weary into your room. I asked for another room and suddenly I was able to get one on the top floor. However in the morning when I opened the curtains I discoveered I had no privacy or net curtain on the window, meaning it was open to all, and other windows were looking directly at me , both office and hotel guests and staff working below in the yard where the bins were. I then had to leave the curtains closed in order to have privacy and dress. Later I compliained to the recepton and when I was back in my room a man arrived with a ladder to measure the window and still later to fit this curtain.This was a huge annoyance to me on both occassions. Why was this curtian not on the window before I arived and why were workmen in the room first allocated to me. I have stayed in many hotels and have never seen this lack of consideration and inconvenience . On our third morning just before 7am ( while sleeping ) the hotel alarm went off and everyone rushed to ground floor,I was 6 floors up and when alarm was turned off I had to walk back up the 6 floors again as we had no access to the elevator. We were given no apology or explantion as to what happened. While I was still there I emailed reception to explain my concerns as I dont speak French. I did this 3 times, before I checked out, reception nformed me they had received the email but they never bothered to reply. She said they could do nothing by way of an apology for the disruption and inconvenience, I thought they might offer complimentary breakfast but not so. The hotel is in a nice location, clean cmfortable but disorganised and with a "could not careless" atttude. Hotels should appreciate their clients and try to make their stay as pleasant as possible. I was disappointed In Hotel Albert !er and would chose a different hotel that cares more about guests expereiences."

"Cute boutique hotel across the street from the beach and walking distance to shopping, restaurants and historical sites. Extremely clean everywhere and friendly staff. Nice breakfast with many hot and cold items. Eating area is very small so it can get crowded at popular times: plan accordingly. I had a room by myself, so the extremely small size was workable for me. However, the bathroom was tight even at only 5'5" and 122 lbs. Impossible to dry off and apply lotion in there. Shower stall and toilet were only about 6 inches apart and there was only about 6 inches of counter space. Only one person with luggage can fit in the elevator. Maybe 2 can fit without luggage. I'd probably try somewhere else if I visited again. It's just a bit too compact even for someone smaller like me."

"Great location and comfortable hotel, room are small but to be expected from a city hotel and worked well for our city break. The staff were always friendly and welcoming. We would definitely return again"
