"I booked this hotel as a nice relaxing spring getaway for my partner and I. Unfortunately the whole experience was anything but relaxing.
First thing to note is the cockroach issue. This has been mentioned in other reviews and is definitely something to be aware of. We were on the 4th floor and spotted 4 cockroaches a few nights into our stay around 1am. Naturally my partner was reluctant to sleep and felt extremely uncomfortable. We went down to reception and requested to change rooms but were told this couldn’t be done till the morning, which left us leaving the light on all night to deter the roaches, and getting about 2 hours sleep. To be fair to the security staff he was very apologetic, and said there was nothing he could do. However I would highly reccomend this is changed and the security are given more authority in being able to make these changes, as it’s an extremely unpleasant experience. We received compensation with a free meal at a restaurant/cafe near the hotel which was nice, but I would rather this never happened in the first place.
This is the sort of hotel you want to stay at if you are on a stag/hen do, or on your first lads holiday. 10 minutes away from the strip and around 12-15 from beaches, it’s very ideally located near bars and restaurants. The hotel is very loud, I’d almost go towards “cheap and cheerful” but just not that cheap. The walls are very thin, when we got moved from our room there was another guest moving due to noise. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, don’t come here. Do not be surprised to hear screaming, shouting, coughing, sneezing, and the rest, all through the night. The hotel doesn’t really ever sleep.
If you are looking to go for a party holiday, and are not that bothered about the cleanliness which was adequate at best, then it’s genuinely worth going for.
Pool vibe is great, lots of pools to choose from, you can always get a sun bed, and the bar areas are very decent. I can imagine if I was here a few years ago with all my mates on an all-inclusive, I’d genuinely have a good time.
The last nail in the coffin was the gym, which honestly if you don’t laugh you’ll cry. If you are a gym-goer and think you can use this gym, think again. I went in there to have a browse, all dumbbells on the floor, scattered with random weights on them. The few machines in there look like they’re from the 1990’s and likely just given to the hotel from local gyms when they got new equipment. The lat pulldown machine was broken, and to top it off, this costs you €3.50 a day to use. Quite frankly it’s insulting given how awful the gym is. If it was free for guests, I’d have a bit of sympathy as at least it’s almost a kind gesture. But the fact this is being advertised as a perk is a joke.
To summarise, if you are going for a party and you don’t care about the noise or having 100% cleanliness, give it a go. But if you are looking to relax more, don’t want to risk cockroaches, or want a more pleasant experience than the above, please look elsewhere / consider spending a bit more per person on another hotel."
