"We had a 33 sqm side sea view room with balcony. Make sure your room is on the south side if you want the sun all day and to view the sunsets. We were on top floor A (Attico) level, but it is still fine to be on floor 7 or above, reception is on upper ground level 6, the pools, sunbeds and Imagine lounge are on level 5.
Breakfast is 7.30-11.00, lunch 12.30-15.00, dinner 18.00- 21.00, which is fantastic with lots of choice and changed daily, half board includes 1 booking in the Roast restaurant for every 4 days stay (the main course that you select is served to you).
We had 2 wide single beds put together, full blackout curtains, seats & table, safe, air con, large tv (inc UK channels: BBC1 & 2, ITV, C4 & 5, Sky News), usb charge points & euro plug sockets at each side of the bed, empty fridge (which contains welcome drinks on arrival), kettle, 1 litre bottle of water, tea, coffee (restocked daily), rain head & smaller hand held shower head, hairdryer, lighted makeup mirror, hand soap, conditioner & body lotion, no robes or slippers (unless in Platinum), plenty of hanging & drawer storage, heated pool and larger unheated pool, you receive tickets for pool towels and can change them poolside usually 10.00-12.00, outdoor games area. There is excellent wifi signal everywhere inside & outside the hotel,
You have to use a wristband for room door and drinks etc (black for AI & white for others). The draft beer served (inc with AI) is San Miguel. With AI ensure you ask for branded spirits, otherwise you get non-branded! You pay at the end of your stay - by card only.
Use the hotel app for info and services. Book sunbeds on the app early from 6am the day before (which are held until 12.00, but is not enforced). You receive an email to confirm. Or you can grab any free sunbed from 12.00 on the day. Tip: get to know your parasol number(s) / sunbeds of choice first. You can also book Balinese beds up to 2 days in advance, which cost €20 for the day. Sunbeds are placed very close together. Nobody was using the parasols so as not to block the sun from those around them! The Sunset terrace area on level 6 is less busy.
There are tv’s inside the Imagine lounge and outside in the pool area, and also on the 3rd floor for UK football (via DAZN). There is entertainment every night in the Imagine lounge. The noise is very loud in the rooms from 9pm until after midnight when the entertainment is on, as the sound echos up the centre atrium to all floors!
There is a lift at the back of the hotel across the pool which goes down to level 1 for Playas de Fanabe & Torviscas and the strip area.
The hotel hosts gala dinners on Christmas Day & New Years Eve, all served to your table, but hurried and with free flowing cava & wine (good if you are on HB) + music. There are 5 courses, but are small portions. All guests have to book a table in the restaurant 3-4 days before CD &/or NYE for either 6pm or 8.30pm. On CD & NYE it is hard to get a seat later in the evening inside or outside the Imagine lounge. However, for NYE you can reserve a table inside or outside - but costs €100 (!), which includes a bottle of champagne (or a further €40 for Moet) & box of chocolates.
Pedal bikes, electric bikes & mobility scooters are available to hire from the hotel and they are located at the entrance to the hotel.
Playa de Torviscas is right in front of the hotel. Playa del Duque & Playa de Fanabe are close by. There are 3 Dino express supermarkets where you can get provisions and also newspapers (they are not available though on CD & NYD). Go to the Azar restaurante - a large beer is €1.60! Visit the Colonial bar & restaurant. There are many other bars along the front. Go to the outdoor market on Thur & Sat between 9.00-14.00. Bus stops are located in front of the Fanabe Plaza shopping centre, close to the front of the Princess Inspire hotel, which takes you and to and from Costa Adeje bus station and to locations all around the island.
You can walk south all the way along the costline to Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos. In Americas go on La Milla de Oro, which is a mile long shopping street. You can also go north, which is a lovely walk to La Caleta."
